Season Twenty-One
The Twin Dilemma   (4 episodes)
The Doctor is extremely unstable after his last regeneration, and decides that he must become a hermit on the barren asteroid Titan 3, with Peri as his servant. Upon landing, they discover a dwelling on this supposedly lifeless planet and investigate. The Doctor meets a fellow Time Lord, Azmael, who has kidnapped two young boys, twins who are mathematical geniuses. Azmael's homeland, Jaconda, has been taken over by the Mestor, a slug-like alien who is using the boys' technical knowledge to conquer the galaxy. The Doctor must try to stop the Mestor from spreading its slug-eggs all over the galaxy, while recovering from the madness of regeneration.

Vengeance on Varos   (Two 45-minute episodes)
The Doctor lands on the planet Varos to get a supply of a rare mineral needed to repair the TARDIS. Varos, once a prison planet, is now ruled by the descendants of the original guards, and the population is kept entertained by watching shows of public torture from the Punishment Zone. The Doctor and Peri meet a group of young rebels trying to overthrow the Governor's dictatorship, but The Doctor is captured and sent to die for the public's amusement in the Punishment Zone. He must try to escape and locate the precious mineral before the Galactic Mining Corporation takes over Varos.

Mark of the Rani   (Two 45-minute episodes)
The TARDIS is drawn to 19th-century Britain, where the population has been destroying local mining equipment and acting very strange and hostile. Further investigation uncovers a plot by The Master to change history by killing key figures of the Industrial Revolution. Also on Earth is the Rani, a brilliant Time Lord biochemist who was exiled from Gallifrey for conducting dangerous experiments. Now the dictator of the planet Miasimia Goria, she needs human brain fluid to sustain her mutated population, using people from throughout Earth's history.

The Two Doctors   (Three 45-minute episodes)
The Time Lords send the second Doctor and his companion Jamie to space station Camera, where a scientific group is suspected to be conducting dangerous experiments with time travel. A Sontaran Battle Group, in league with some of the crew, raids the station and captures The Doctor. Dastari, head of the scientists, plans to dissect The Doctor to find the key of time travel that is hidden within the genetic structure of all Time Lords. The sixth Doctor realizes something has happened to his former Self, and he and Peri go to the space station. They meet Jamie and all travel to Earth to try and rescue the second Doctor.

Timelash   (Two 45-minute episodes)
The TARDIS is taken to the planet Karfel and Peri is soon taken hostage. The hideous tyrant Borad uses her to blackmail The Doctor into helping rescue a girl from Earth. The girl had accidentally entered the Time Lash, a time tunnel used by The Borad to banish rebels, while carrying a valuable amulet. The TARDIS returns from Earth with Herbert, a stowaway from Victorian London. Back on Karfel, The Doctor learns of The Borad's plan to massacre his population and repopulate the planet with deformed clones, starting with Peri!

Season Twenty-Three
Trial of a Time Lord   (14 episodes in 4 adventures)
This ambitious, season-long story arc has The Doctor arrested by the Time Lords and forced to stand trial for erratic behavior. The courtroom is tied into the Gallifreyan Matrix, upon which The Doctor's recent adventures are played as evidence. This four-tape boxed set is broken into four stories: The Mysterious Planet (Parts 1-4), Mindwarp (Parts 5-8), The Ultimate Foe (Parts 9-12), and Time Inc. (Parts 13 & 14).
