-The Constitution-

         

        These then are the accords of Eden, writ and presented this 19th day of May, in the year 1998. These accords have been presented to her Majesty, Queen Avengelyne of Eden, and by her name, they now stand as the high laws of this great Kingdom, for all her subjects and those guests, whom they may be, whilst they live under the protection of the mighty arm of Eden. Read then these words, so that all may live by them, and benefit from their wisdom...

        I. Supremecy of Their majesties...As of this day, Queen Avengelyne Noraddo, is noticed as the sole ruler of the Kingdom of Eden, and all its’ tributaries and outlying communities...All matters of Kingdom Law, functions, loyalties, alliances, and judgments shall from this day forward be of her devising and approval...No matters of foreign or domestic nature shall be decided upon whilst they are not present or have not had a vote on such...Finally, no Reigning King or Queen of Eden shall be tried as a Defendant in the Courts of Eden unless such suit is brought upon another reigning person (in the event that she is wed)...The line of rule in the kingdom of Eden shall forever extend from their families, unless it is passed unto a royal family member by decree from Queen Avengelyne...In such instances, the temporary rule shall be referred to as a regency, and that regent shall have limited power but absolute command over the laws and procedures whilst they are in power...Queen Avengelyne of Eden is hereby acknowledged as the Absolute Monarch...From this day forward, shall no man sit as Absolute Monarch of the Kingdom of Eden, unless the Queen of the Kingdom has no Daughter capable of rule...In that such event, the Crown of Absolute Monarchy shall be passed to a son of the royal family of Eden...Any laws passed by the High Senate or the High Justices of Eden require her Majesty, Queen Avengelyne’s personal seal of approval for the law to be passed and enacted upon...

        II. High Justices of Eden...From this day forward, shall there be in Eden, a corp of High Justices to rule over matters of Law and Order in the Kingdom of Eden...This body of Judges shall be comprised of Five current members of Eden at all times, and they shall have dominion over the plaintiff and defendant in the trials they sit upon...The panel of judges shall consist of the Queen of the Kingdom of Eden, and four other citizens of the Kingdom...These four citizens need not royal blood to sit upon the Chairs of the Justices, nor do they need any other noble blood within their veins in order to be voted into office...Any man or woman elected to the office of the Justices must be confirmed and accepted by the other sitting Justices, with final approval coming from the Queen of Eden...These Justices shall serve terms of six months, with the Queen of the realm being elected for life...After the term of office is concluded, the other three Justices can be re-elected, and may serve any number of terms in office if they are elected to such...All High Justices must be neutral in all matters of Edenian Law, and must show good judgment and exemplary knowledge of the Laws of the Kingdom, lest they be impeached from office earlier than their six month term...In the event of Impeachment procedures, the remaining Justices must have a Three Quarters YEA vote to impeach another Justice...All impeachment procedures must be presented to Queen Avengelyne for approval, and then carried out in a closed court by the remaining acting members of the High Justices...Any Justice that has been impeached in the past may once again run for office, after that Justice has met with the Queen in which she is satisfied that the former Justice has corrected his or her past wrongs in the Courts...

        section 1: Voting Procedures...All cases brought before the High Justices shall be heard by all five Elected members for the duration of the Case...If for any reason any of the Justices are unable to be present for any part of the trial, it shall be rescheduled for a later date that is beneficial for all Justices and parties of the Trial by Queen Avengelyne of Eden...In order for a decision to be made in any matter brought before the Justices, a vote of sixty percent (or three out of five) is needed for the decision to be met...In the certain instances/situations the Queen’s judgment shall be enacted upon by Royal Decree, no matter what the ruling has decided by the other justices... All judgments of the High Justices shall be subject to ratification by her Majesty, Queen Avengelyne of Eden...In the event of a hung vote, the decision shall be made to either re-try the case, or drop the proceedings altogether...This decision shall be made only by Queen Avengelyne...Any Justice that leaks information about Witnesses, Contents or Possible pre-mature decisions to any citizen of any Kingdom, foreign or Domestic, shall be immediately brought up on Impeachment Proceedings...No Justice shall receive bribes, or any other means of monetary merit from their decisions, lest they be immediately Impeached and Banished from the Kingdom for all their life...No Justice shall receive any repercussions by any citizen of Eden because of their vote on a matter brought before the High Justices...Any incident involving actions taken against a Justice because of their decision will result in that offending person’s immediate Banishment from the Kingdom...Any and all citizens of Eden that are parties to a Trial shall receive no repercussions from their involvement other than the decision or decisions of the High Justices...

        section 2: Case Procedures...Any citizens that wish to have a hearing with the High Justices must present their case to Queen Avengelyne first, in order to get her approval for a case...No matter shall be heard by the Justices lest Queen Avengelyne has approved of the case...No defendant shall be tried twice for the same offense, unless he or she commits such offense multiple times...Any act of Treason by a citizen of Eden will be brought forth by the Queen herself to the Justices for an immediate trial...Any trials that are presently being heard, shall be rescheduled for a later date...In the event that a reigning Monarch brings forth a trial, the remaining member’s of the Justices must decide without that Monarch...The Supreme Justice of Eden, Queen Avengelyne, is not permitted to bring anyone to trial, but MAY press charges, which will then be tried by the one of the remaining justices...All trials brought by any citizen will be strictly adhered to by both the Defendant and Plaintiff, and in such event that either one does not come forth for the trial, without prior consent from the Queen, they shall be summoned by the Queen herself for contempt of court...

        section 3: Witnesses...Any citizen of Eden that has witnesses to the offense being enacted upon, shall present them in person the day or night of the trial...Until the date of the trial, any witnesses shall have confidentiality, with only the Justices having Knowledge of their presence... No written testimony or any other means of testimony other than personal testimony shall be heard by the Justices without the approval of the Justices by a sixty percent vote (three of five Yea)...Any Witnesses brought forth shall be pre-approved by the Justices in a private hearing with the Witness or Witnesses alone, and they shall then be either allowed to present their testimony, or shall not be permitted to do such...Any Witness participating in a trial shall immediately be disallowed to testify if they leak information about the trial to others, or if they are acting contrary to the good faith laws contained within...No Witness shall receive threats of action because of their testimony, nor shall they receive bribes or any other monetary gain from the trials they are a part of, lest they be brought up on contempt of court charges by the Justices themselves... A maximum of two Witnesses may be used by either the Defendant or Plaintiff of the trial...All witness testimony shall have direct bearing upon the case, and hearsay or opinion shall not be admitted as evidence under no circumstances...

        III. The Laws of the Land ...here then are the laws of our Great Kingdom, writ by Lathen Noraddo, with final approval from Queen Avengelyne of Eden...These laws are presented as Edicts from Queen Avengelyne, and are immediately law upon this constitutions seal of approval by the Queen...The corp body of these laws may not be changed by any Justice, Council member, or citizen of Eden without consent from the Queen herself...Any additions, omissions, ratifications, or Amendments to this constitution shall be heard by the reigning Supreme Justices after prior approval by Queen Avengelyne...All citizens, guests, and foreign emissaries are to be bound to these laws and shall adhere to them, whilst they remain within our boundaries...All subjects have equal protection under these laws, and no man or woman, save the Queen, have the ability to avoid prosecution for their violations... Here then, is the Law of our Great and Mighty Kingdom of Eden...

        section 1: Treasonous acts...Any act or acts against the Queen that can be regarded as Treasonous are causes for immediate trial for banishment...Such acts include, but are not limited to, acts of Violence against the Royal family, acts of verbal abuse towards the royal family, acts of Violence against EDEN, acts of Verbal abuse towards EDEN, un-authorized alliances with any foreign kingdom or clan, riotous acts against the Kingdom and her subjects, threats of violence and harm to their majesties, threats of a non-violent nature against their Majesties, gross
        insubordination to a direct command from their Majesties or Knight Commanders, and such other acts that their Majesties may find that work against the peaceful progress that EDEN strives for in its’ existence...

        section 2: Crimes against the Citizens of Eden...here then we present the laws that stand to protect the citizens of Eden, from Nobleman, to Laborer...Let no man or woman be unprotected by the mighty arm of Eden any longer...These Laws include, but are not limited to, Murder, Assassinations, Assault, Attempted Murder, Rape, Piracy against Eden’s citizens, Harassment, Extended Verbal abuse and threats, Extended Mental abuse, battery, Blackmail, Thievery Within Eden or against Eden’s citizens, and Property damage or Vandalism...Each separate offense will be weighed independently, with the punishments handed out in the same manner...Based upon the severity of the Crime, the punishment can be anything from a simple verbal warning to immediate banishment...Repeat offenders will be dealt with swiftly, incurring the highest punishment available to the High Justices of Eden...These laws are to protect all law-abiding citizens of Eden, so let no man or woman ignore them...

        part 1: Murder, Rape, Assassinations, Attempted Murder...These offenses are to be judged by the justices with the highest punishment available...The justices may pass sentence among themselves, but the final punishment for these crimes shall be decided by Her Majesty, Queen Avengelyne...

        part 2: Piracy, Battery, Harassment, Verbal Abuse, Mental
        Abuse, Assault...These offenses, while serious in nature, will not bring as stiff a punishment as the above offenses will incur...However, as with punishments stated above, Queen Avengelyne shall decide the proper course of justice to be taken...

        part 3: Blackmail, Thievery within Eden or against Edenian Citizens, Property Damage, and Vandalism...The offenses are minor, and will be dealt with in a minor manor...

        Finally, multiple offenses of any above crime will result in immediate banishment from the kingdom for life...
