Our Trips to Hawaii

Back in the mid-eighties, Jesse, his sister Natalie and I went to Hawaii. No, they didn't ride on my back. For the first time, I flew in an airliner. I felt a little weird, but it was so amazing to fly in a machine built by humans.

It was a pretty good vacation, until it was time to get back to San Antonio. The pilots of United Airlines went on strike at midnight the day we landed, so our stay was extended by a day. Unfortunately, that day was spent at the airport, trying to find seats on a returning flight. Anyway, like I said, we did have a great week of sightseeing and visiting the parks and beaches.

I can hear someone asking, "Hey, why didn't Jesse and his sis ride your back?" They would not be very comfortable for long, especially if we encountered some hotdog pilot.

Sorry, she is happily married.

When Mount Kiluea erupted a few years ago, Jesse and I went back to Oahu on a plane, but then I took him in my claw for the short trip to the Big Island. It had been a long time since I had tasted lava. Mmm, Mmm!

Why no picture of me in my human form? A lot of governments would like that way too much.
