The rest of these are just a sampling of my favourite fanfic websites. For the most part, these are the sites that have withstood the test of time, and represent a variety of different pairings and shows. No doubt if you've found your way to my little site, then you've probably visited many of these before, but here they are, in no particular order...

The Pink Rabbit Consortium
This is the place that I usually start my search when I'm jonesing for some quality fic. The Pink Rabbit isn't updated nearly often enough to suit my tastes, but the quality of their product is undeniable. They span an impressive spectrum, from Alien:Resurrection to Babylon 5, and even Birds of Prey. If you haven't visited this site yet, then what are you waiting for?!

A Work in Progress
Sharon Bowers is the kind of writer that I wish I could be. She has a way of tapping into the hidden sensuality of everyday things, and an enviable ability for bridging the gap between the character and the reader-- allowing them to connect on an emotional level that is often lacking in fan fiction and just plain fiction. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this woman's work over the years, from Xena to X-Files to ER, and anticipate her next creation with an almost painful glee.

Ivanova is Captain
If you want to read some of the most intelligent, most visceral Babylon 5 fan fiction on the web, then this is the site for you! But beware. Metis' works are definitely addictive, and the dry spells between updates can lead to severe withdrawal that can cause to you to watch 'Divided Loyalties' ad nauseum in order to stave off the symptoms.

Chimera Bloom
While this site does contain BtVS fiction, the series that caught my eye is an original work called Predators. Wonderfully inventive and well written, I look forward to watching this story unfold, and recommend it heartily.

Area 52: The HKH Standard
I've become a bit of a fair weather fan fic-er over the years, and during one of my disillusioned phases, I discovered the delightful possibilities of Sam/Janet subtext. The quality of Sam/Janet fic varies widely, but there are more than a few gems on this site. One series that it does not archive however, and should not be missed, is Bits and Pieces which can be found at the Pink Rabbit Consortium.

Enhanced
The UK 'women in prison' show, Bad Girls, is a recent obsession of mine (I know, I know, I've always been a little slow on the uptake). The Enhanced website contains a rather large archive of Bad Girls fic that I haven't even begun to sort my way through yet. One author who sticks out at this point is CanadaBadGirl-- but hey, maybe that's my well-concealed patriotic side showing. *sigh* I could look at Mandana Jones all day, and Simone Lahbib ain't no slouch either ;)

Small Town Girls
Also a fairly new obsession of mine, Smallville. Chloe and Lana might not have looked so chummy in the beginning, but the subtext is there and steadily growing. Small Town Girls-- though mostly shorter works-- rates high on the satisfaction meter. *eyebrow wiggle*

Endless Voyager
Fewthistle continues to produce some of the most elegant prose in fan fiction circles (IMHO), and has proven her adaptive abilities by covering a number of different shows, including a Pretender crossover with the goddess Athena, as per Xena and Hercules canon.

politicX
I have to admit, my interest in the X-Files had waned to the point of atrophy until a certain raven-tressed agent was introduced for the last couple of seasons of the show. Dana Scully's emotional rollercoaster ride through Mulder-ville was at times impossible to follow, but Monica Reyes' uncanny ability to keep her grounded peaked my interest. PoliticX has written some excellent Scully/Reyes stories that are most assuredly worth the surf on over, and help with swallowing the bitter and insensible pill of the series' finale.

Snurcher's Guide to Farscape
This is not a fan fiction archive, not even close. It is however, one of the most complete guides to Farscape on the web, and since I have yet to find a decent trove of Farscape f/f fiction, I thought I'd include this link instead. If you're not a Farscape fan, then in my expert opinion-- you're crazy. Intelligent plots, multi-faceted characters, creative storytelling, gun-toting leather-wearing astronaut guys with Southern accents, and gun-toting leather-wearing chicks with Australian accents-- science fiction just doesn't get any better than this!
