Character Creation

* All Characters are to be created under the Direct Supervision of
either
Drizzt or a quest writer, and all characters must be approved
via email by
Drizzt and only Drizzt. *

This is going to be a kind of long section. If you really wish, I will go through it with you in a quick
and efficient way. However, below I have how you may make your character. This is a long section,
so be prepared.

STATISTICS ARE ONLY TO BE ADDED IN MATTERS OF DEATH(DM/AA/MDM/MAA/SL)

Step 1 - The Character Sheet. Basically, your character will have a sheet with certain stats on it. It will
have a number of things, and I shall make a makeshift sheet step by step. It would be advised to keep this
all on a web profile.

Stats:
Str - Strength: Will add to total damage of an attack made by  you
Dex - Dexterity: Will reduce the total damage of an attack upon you
Con - Constitution: Will add to your total number of Hitpoints per 1000xp
Int - Will add upon all skill checks i.e. HTC, Spells, Dodging, etc.
Wis - Will add to the amount of skills/spells that you may carry
Cha - This affects the % you gain in gold from a fight by 5% a +/-

It's simple. Roll 3d6 for every stat. Plug them in and this is how they work.
For every 25000xp you gain, you'll gain +1 to (2) select stats.

Any roll below 10 is rerolled 10-11 = 0 | 12-13 = +1 | 14-15 = +2 | 16-17 = +3 | 18-19 = +4 | 20-21 = +5

Step 2: After you plug in your stats, and correctly record your modifiers, we'll work on the
race of the character. There are plenty of races to choose from, and custom, made up races
may be approved with appropriate email to
Drizzt, explaining all about the race. It's pluses and
minuses. The races to choose from are listed below, with a little about them.

Humans: The most basic race, they have no stat modifications. They are the most well-rounded
beings and start with an extra skill added into their choices. Humans are mortal, and count as 2d.

Elves: Superior in magic, swift of foot, though not always the best at taking a hit, these are the
humanoid race of pointy-eared beings. There are different types of elves. Dark Elves, High Elves
Moon Elves, Wild Elves, and Sun Elves. They each have modifications of +2 dex -2 con as a racial
modifier. They are also able to see in the dark, though the Drow seem more adept at it.

Dwarves: The stouter of the three races, these are the small and rugged miners who work through
their mines and build various things from tools to weapons and axes. Dwarves are special, and they
receive a +2 con -2 int, -2 wis modifier. They also are gifted uniquely with the ability to, once in their
entire life, create the best item of their life. Some make warhammers, others make shields. This is a
good way to work into a Storyline.

Any other races are open for play, but at the moment, these are all I can count as they are the most
common, I believe. There are more to come, though, so keep your eyes out for it. For a complete
list and description of races, Click the races section on the
Main Page.

Step 3: Choosing a class. This is one of the more fun parts of creating a character. At this juncture,
since this site and forum are still both new, there will be a list of classes on the classes section in the
main page. Below will be the smallest list and smallest descriptions. Some classes even hold requirements
and whatnot.

Fighter - The basic warrior. Gains more skills than all classes.
Ranger - Specialized warrior/hunters. Gain the dual wield skill instantly.
Wizard - A specialized magic user of one school. Has requirements.
Rogue - A sneaky, sly character. Gains the dodge skill instantly.
Bard - Fun-loving adventuring poets. Has requirements.

Multiclassing will be available, and will be explained in the Multi-class section.

Step 4: Deciding on an alignment. This determines what kind of character your character will be in his
personality. For example, Drizzt is Chaotic Good. Below is a list of alignments and what they are.

Lawful Good - Outlook is to follow the law and help all that you can.
Lawful Neutral - Outlook is to follow the law, and help those you choose.
Lawful Evil - Outlook is to follow the law and not to help those around you without your benefit.
Neutral Good - You only break the law when there is no other choice and help all you can.
True Neutral - You're an unbiased person
Neutral Evil - You will follow the law, but bend it to your will.
Chaotic Good - You don't mind breaking the law and having fun while helping others.
Chaotic neutral - You don't care about other people, you pretty much do what is in your interest..
Chaotic Evil - You might want to try a quest for power!

Step 5A: Choosing skills. This one is simple. Simply go to the Abilities section on the Main Page, and click
it. Then, from there read what races and classes have what skills, and what requirements if any there are.
After done choosing those skills, go over and make sure you have no more skills than you should. It's easy.
At first level you may choose one class skill/spell and one general skill/spell as long as class allows it.

Step 5B: Recording it on a sheet. This is simple. All you have to do is plug it
into the character setup I have below, put the modifier to the side of the stat score,
and copy and paste into a text file and save it. Also recommended putting it on the web profile.
