(I promised myself that I would only have my stories and such at this address,but you know how things go...besides I owe the authors who give me so much joy something!*l* Hi.Its me.Calliope.You can't seem to get away from me here,can you?*l*Well it is my homepage after all. And this is like my alter,I guess.Kinda.A writer has to have favorite authors,now doesn't she?Well,I do.And I'm giving a little back,I guess. My favorite authors: Tamora Pierce(author of the Song of the Lioness quartet,The Immortals quartet,The Circle of Magic Quartet,and more in the making!)Oh yeah,Tamora has to be one of the best.All her books have girl heros,and they have magic and are set mostly in mideveal(?)times,but not in our world. They have basically all the ingredients that I deem wonderful and a little something all their own.Anyway,I love Tamora Pierce!
K.A.Applegate(ANIMORPHS RULE!!!)Okay,I guess animorphs seem a little dippy,nerdy,whatever,to outsiders.Well,Fine.Call me a Nerd or a Dip or whatever than.I read animorphs with pride.And wonderment.Most of the on and on series that I read,I hate.But these I love.Absolutley love.So far that I spend almost all of my money on animorphs books.And I do not like spending money. Great charecters,great plots,lots of action,and something that makes you want to punch Visser Three's lights out.Or maybe David's.I LOVE ANIMORPHS!!!
Piers Anthony(Xanth,Mode series,and a bunch that I can't name...)Well.What can I say?Xanth is silly,funny,but with emotional qualities that I love.And the Mode Series made me want to be right there with Colene.Piers is a wonderful author,but not one I would recomend to the younger audience*l*
Jane Yolen(Dragons Blood and a bunch of other things)I absolutley love Dragon's Blood.I read it in one day(So it was a sick day...who cares?)And with someone as obsessed with dragons as me,it was wonderful. So you're asking why Anne Mcaffery isn't up here.Well,I'm sorry.I love Pern,but its too hard to get into.For me.But all you kids out there,go and try it.I beg of you.And e-mail me telling me how wrong I am.Sometimes I like to be proved wrong*l* What really makes a good book?Well to me,I know its a good book when I cry when the charecter does,want to punch the lights out of the bad guy because they are just soooo evil,and when I can look at the charecter and say"You should have done this instead of this."In short,I guess I like it when I can rrelate to the charecters,and they become realy people,my real friends. And I just love all these authors.And I want everybody to know that!*Standing up and doing the wave*You authors are really great!!!
