Oliver!  My first appearance in a musical, God help me!

Well, due to popular demand, I have decided to write a little more in-depth about my Oliver experience.  First of all, I made a lot of great friends, and got to spend more time with the friends I already had.  The show was awesome, in my opinion.  By the way, Karissa would kill me if I did not mention that Oliver is not technically my first show.  I worked tech in 1776 last summer in the park.  However, my first time being seen is Oliver.  (Does that work hun?)  Well, on with the details, and select photos.

Let's start off with a little bit about my role in the show.  It can only be a little bit because that was my role.  I was in the adult chorus (graduated from a little kid at the age of 16, wow!).  I made up a name and background for my character, and frankly, it's embarrassing, so if you really want to know, you can email me, and I might tell you about it!  I got to stand on a table at the end of Oom Pa Pa (no jokes, please), and I got to wear this nifty little doily thing around my waist (when first I saw it, I thought it was supposed to go around my neck, don't laugh.) that made my rear end look like it was at least as big as, oh, I don't know...Maine, maybe?  I also had a huge problem with this one stupid thing I was supposed to do during the above-mentioned song, which I didn't get right until Opening Night, and managed to keep going well until the closing.  Congratulate me now, thank you.  :-)

Ben (Dodger) and Michael (Oliver), the two stars of our show.

Now, as for my new buddies...
We'll start with Amy, who requested this lovely page.  That would be Amy Dobyns, not Amy Rapp or Amy Meadows.  Too many Amys in this show, I swear.  But anyway, she attends our choir's rival high school, so she's our little spy.  :-)  She's cool, cuz she's short like me!  She needs to stop speaking French, and pick up a cool language, like Spanish!  Also in our little girl group was Jenny.  I'd put her last name, but I honestly have no clue how to spell it!  She and I would always talk about the guys together.  Even though she spent entirely too much time with Fagin's Gang, she's cool!  Also new to me was Amy Rapp.  I aide her brother's Spanish class, so we had a common annoyance in our lives.  I pity her, having to live with him.  :-)  Okay, I have to talk about my two new favorite people, pictured above.  Michael is just the cutest thing; he makes me wish I was twelve again!  He is quite the charmer, too.  he would always come up to us girls and kiss our hands.  How sweet!  I have to laugh every time I think about how I started to become friends with Ben, though.  I fell in love with the coat that he wore for the part.  It was velvety, and I was always reaching over and grabbing the tail.  :-)  I didn't realize until later that the guy wearing the coat was pretty cool, too.  Did I mention he gives killer shoulder massages?  :-)  I miss all these people already!

Soon a pic page will come, I promise!
