Elder / Antideluvian: Valiant is the title given to the head of a family in the lands of Starthra, Antideluvian is the title of the founder of a Kindred Clan and is always used in reference to a third Generation Kindred... either of these is a correct title for Khayman. As this position he is second only in power to his liege the Magi-Prince Drythar_Starthra... a delegate to the royal court of Starthra he is the only member of Clan Akhayee that may call a blood hunt on another family or group of people.
Sanguinas Vindicar; Title given to the chief Archon of the Akhayee, his influence is as great as that of the Methusaleh's and yet he also has the power to punish said Methusaleh's upon command from Khayman. Like a general he carries out all orders given to him where the Akhayee family is concerned. A master of battle he is generally to be revered as the warrior adept to the house Akhayee.
Methusaleh: Title given to the firstborn childer of Khayman, they are the 4th generation Akhayee and are ranked only beneath the Clan Antideluvian <Khayman> inpower. They act as a legislative court ensuring that familylaw is upheld where singular individuals are concerned. Each Methusaleh has an Archon and an Ambassador to help them in these duties.
Archon: Typically a childer of a Methusaleh, but not always so, the Archons dispense the judgements of the Methusaleh. They are the executioners of clan justice and as such are generally ranked among the elite fighters of the family. There is one Archon for each Methusaleh and all of these Archons have allegiance not only to the Methusaleh's but to the Sanguinas Vindicar as well whenever a blood hunt has been declared.
Ambassadors: Childer of Methusalehs are the only people who may hold this title. Chosen for their diplomatic skill they are often well mannered and tempered as opposed to the Methusalehs themselves. Yet what they lack in sheer tenacity and brute force they compensate for with cunning and manipulation, always seeking to draw in others to the Akhayee or to create alliances for its benefit.
Antitribu: any Akhayee born between 5th and 7th generation.
Prince / Princess: usually a powerful 7th or 8th generation Kindred given control of a city, he/she is the governing body of that city and therefore responsible for all of the Kindred events of that city.
Elder: Any Akhayee born between 8th and 10th generation.
Neonate: Any Akhayee born between 12th and 15th generation, also commonly used in affectionate terminology for a fledglign Kindred... (i.e. often used between a sire and his childer.)
The Dark Circle: A compendium of magic users who have allied with house akhayee in endeavors which only the Akhayee and the Dark Circle know of. As non ranking family members they are given respect but no true say in the affairs of family politics... however if something should befall one of the Circle by an Akhayee's hand beware the wrath of Khayman and the Sanguinas Vindicar. |
