Upon either slope of the snowcaped Black onyx mountains of the Northern Pass lay lush forests extending for thousands of miles in any direction. These mystic forests are posed atop a nexus of lay lines, a node, which converge in between the Black Spires Citadel and the City of Dravel to form a Forest Caern. Khaymans discovery of the Caern upon his planar shift from Starthra to Terra Sol made him realize the true potential of the Northern Pass. Knowledge of how the Garou tribes on B'raxis guarded these Caerns gave rise to Khayman offering them the opportunity to guard the Forest Caern for the Akhayee. In compliance the Garou, now numbering in the thousands, roam the Northern Pass Forests protecting it from any invaders they feel pose a threat to the Caern.
The Zealous nature of the Ronin Garou make the Caern Forest incredibly dangerous to trespassers, vagabonds, and rogues. People tell tales to their children about not entering the forests, tales of wanderers who have never returned form their adventures into the Northern Pass. However despite the horrific stories the appeals of commerce have brought many businessmen into the Northern Pass. For those seeking business and trade the few roads into the Northern Pass are surprisingly free form crime. Thus the surprisingly good trade and business prospectus between the Northern Pass and the rest of the lands of B'raxis has been brought about indirectly by the Garou. Safe and secure trade routes have made conventional merchants feel safe amongst the Northern Pass, their travels there always seem to be pleasant. However they sometimes speak about how they feel like there are eyes and ears always about them on their journey to the cities of the Northern Pass... the irony is that there really are eyes and ears everywhere in the Forest Caern. |
