Welcome to my page, and thank you for visiting!
I'm Harley, a rather non-descript high-school student from a rather non-descript town. I have, over the past few years, developed a strange fondness for Star Trek: Voyager (okay, obsession, but who's actually taking note?) ;-). In that time, I also discovered the sometimes-wonderful Internet. With that came my introduction to fanfiction, and a whole new world.
So, I write . . . . I used to write solely Janeway/Chakotay fanfiction, but the past few seasons have all but turned me away from that pairing. After "Fair Haven" and "Counterpoint" I figured that Janeway and Chakotay weren't meant for each other, and "Endgame" and "Workforce" emphasized the fact that while they may once have had a great deal of chemistry . . . well, that went the way of Chakotay's personality. And anyway, these days, though not necessarily in the past, I like to write within the realm of canon.
So, now I write what I like to think of as Paris/Torres stories, though some have told me they're more "general" with a P/T backdrop. I loved what TPTB did with P/T this year (I can't believe I'm saying this!), so maybe there's nothing to mess with now. As for the other relationships on the show . . . don't get me started on C/7!
I write simply because it's fun. I like to be able to put these characters into new and different situations without (most of) the constraints of TPTB. I write what I want when I want, and that's the way things will always be.
The internet has also brought me into contact with fan groups. I'm a proud (though rarely posting) member of Cabin X, the best group of girls around! {{{{{{Cabin X}}}}}} The Cabin started over on AOL's Paris/Torres Collective - a group I was assimilated into (my journalism friends would be quick to point out that I'm writing in passive voice) a while back. It's a great group. I'm not quite an oldbie yet . . . but I think I'm getting there. I lurk at many, many boards - I'll post eventually!
Beyond Voyager my other interests include journalism (it's taken over my life), music of all kinds, and, of course, television. (What teenager doesn't watch television?). With the end of Voyager, all of my favorite shows have gone off the air (DS9, Homicide: Life on the Street, Voy). I find myself watching ER when I can catch it and HBO's new drama, Six Feet Under. I try, on occasion to watch The X-Files, but Mulder's not going to be back, so maybe it's not worth my time. I suppose that television is slowly getting supplanted in favor of other interests. Maybe that's good.

About My Page
This page is simply a place for me to "publish" my fanfiction. I'm actually going to be updating! AOL 6.0 is (I can't believe I'm saying this) a wonderful thing - now I can upload pictures!! So, when I find the time (RL is getting in the way, I'm sorry to report), I'll update some of the pictures.
Mostly, though, I use this place as a forum for my work, regardless of the somewhat mediocre appearance. ;-).

The HTML is self-taught, so the design is as advanced as I am capable of. (I know I could find one of those "make-your-website" pages to help me out . . . but this is more fun. Hands on is good!) I know that many other fan sites are equipped with frames, interesting graphics, or other technological marvels. I don't have that kind of talent, or that kind of time, so what you see is what you get. (Sorry . . . ;-)
