Watto owns a junk shop on Tatooine and is a gambler. He owns the two slaves Anakin and Shmi Skywalker. Watto like sto bet on podraces and the like. He is of the Toydarian species, which are not effected by Jedi mind tricks. Pretty cool ability, huh?
