The Miranda-class starship is one of the vessels most widely used in Starfleet. Since the USS Miranda was commissioned, these ships have played a mayor part in every enterprise the federation has been involved in, including the Battle to retake DS9 and the invasion of Cardassia. The ship is built using elements borrowed from the Constitution-class.
