Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1855, she was taken in as an infant by Mary Deane shortly after Mary's husband and own child died. In 1881 at a rally of wives, mothers, and daughters protesting imprisonment of Irishmen by the English, a riot started and both Annie and her mother were killed. Annie awoke as an Immortal and ever since has grown to deeply hate the English. She's been an Irish terrorist for nearly 100 years, involved with the IRA and their revolution against England. She is a friend of Duncan MacLeod, but they share different views about what she is doing. Richie Ryan accidentally caused her to kill her mortal husband in 1993, and she tried to kill him in revenge. She lost in the fight with Richie, but he chose not to take her head. In 1996, Annie joined up with Immortal James Douglas to help regain Scotland and Ireland's freedom. Douglas decieved Annie, turning her against Duncan. MacLeod was foreced to behead Annie.
