SIMPLY MAD: I Missed StarTrek: Greatest Moments!!- Dec. 29th 1999
I Hate CityTV!! (Although not all times, they do show some good movies) They screwed me up! First they show a really crap re-run of ST: Voyager at 8:00P.M., then after that they show Star Trek: The Greatest Moments at 9:00! How did I find out? I just switched on the TV to see if there was anymore Star Trek at 9:54P.M. and what did I find? The end with flashing mini-movies and scrolling casts of Star Trek's best shows!

Live Long and Prosper...- Nov. 6th 1999
Star Trek's beloved half Vulcan and half Human Mr. Spock, the son of Sarek of Vulcan and Amanda Grayson from earth, was named as number six on TV Guide's list of TV's 50 Greatest Characters Ever! In its Oct 16-22, 1999 issue, the TV Guide editors had this to say about our beloved Vulcan friend:

"As any fan of TOS (The Original Series) can tell you, he is the son of Sarek (a Vulcan) and Amanda Grayson (a human). He matriculated (enrolled) at Starfleet Academy in 2249 at age 19. He served for more than 11 years under Captain Christopher Pike. He became a legend as perhaps the most intelligent and charismatic second in command (to Captain James T. Kirk aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise) ever to traverse this or any other galaxy. What made him so fascinating (a word he often used) was the struggle between his computer-like Vulcan mind and the irrational human emotions he was raised to repress. As a result, any evidence of Spock's internal conflict that actor Leonard Nimoy relayed to us -- an arched eyebrow, even a stab at humor -- was riveting. Whether he troubled with Tribbles, strategized against Klingons, or mediated among his own crew, Spock was always the voice of reason and compassion. In his right mind, he never resorted to violence more forceful than t he Vulcan nerve pinch, preferring to pursue his prime directive: 'Live long and prosper.'"

SF Gaming: Bugs Already? - Sept 1st 1999
C & C: Tiberian Sun Has been reported to have bugs already. These are the reported Bugs in the game:

1. If you play with fog of war, the fog hides enemy units and structures. but if the opponent builds new pavements or walls you see it through the fog of war, and so you know, where to dig with your sub-apc and you know where buildings are standing in his base, because if there is a hole in the pavement, than there must be a building

2. Play with redeployable mcv, than deploy it and build a wall around it. than click on the const.yard and give the order to move outside the wall. uuum.... it disappears.

3. if units move outside of the map (ie. if you order aircrafts to attack a building at the border of the map) it takes sometimes about 10 seconds until they return.

4. You are NOD, your base is stealth, Your engineers are under the stealth gen, and so you move them into your stealth APC (Under Cover), when you come out in the enemy's base, and unload your engineers, they come out stealth just like the carryall case

5. When your Apc is blocked by lets say a building, it will not unload... I hate it when I come out of a tight spot resulting my engineers death...this has been tested with the subterranean Apc

6. Engineers will still enter a building when the owner sells it. meaning you waste your engineer for a selling building, get nothing back, not even the cash for the selling...

7. Artillery never misses on land, no matter what unit speed your unit has, the artillery shell homes in on the targeted unit. But on the water, it is possible to avoid the shell because Westwood programmed the water splash, this is a bug since artilleries don't have guided systems... this really gives too much power to the ranged artillery (remember the cruiser)

8. When the Banshee tries to shoot under a stealth generator, it cannot. Reason - it takes a few seconds to uncloak, the banshee shoots by gliding pass, C & C has a rule that says stealth units cannot shoot. So, while waiting to decloak the banshee has already flew pass the target and turns back, during this time, it cloaks back and the whole thing repeats... NEVER EVER try to get a stealth banshee....

9. The Hunter Seeker droid sometimes bomb bridge booths (those you go to when you want to fix the bridge) for no reason

10. The mobile sensor keeps on repeating that it has found a stealth or burrowed unit, this makes EVA/CABAL keep bragging that you have detected a unit, making this very annoying.

11. The Hunter Seeker Droid. When I deployed it ... it smacked right into my allied Harvester and wiped it out ..... even though a HARVESTER TRUCE (Harvester Invincibility) was selected ?

I'm Glad you got down here! Westwood Studios didn't make the top notch game this year.

Rumors Of Voyager Cancelations... - Aug 27th 1999
dark_bullet StarTrek: Voyager is rumored to be canceled because of VERY low ratings. The ratings started to go down just after the second episode but it went sky high when "Scorpion Pt. I and II" came out, introducing 7 of 9. This means that there will be a season-finale soon!

dark_bullet Some rumors say that the USS Voyager won't get back to Earth and gets destoyed in the Delta Quadrant. Other rumors say that Voyager does get back to Earth and Species 8975 (The race who attacked The Borg) follows it back to Earth. (This is bad luck for Starfleet, I mean they nearly wiped out the Borg!)

StarTrek: X ? - Jul 13th 1999
dark_bulletWill There be a StarTrek: Ten? Rumors has it that Brent Spiner (Data) is going to get killed in it. Micheal Dorn (Worf) says: "This is the last one, I'm not doing anymore StarTrek." And Brent Spiner (Data) thinks his aging is not good for the character Data. There's no point of a StarTrek film without Data. So I think StarTrek: X will be the last and it'll have to be the best StarTrek film. (If they screw this one up like StarTrek: Insurrection, then there is no hope for Voyager)
