Imbolc-Feb.2 sometimes called the Festival of Lights,Candlemas,Oimelc, among others. It celebrates the beginning of Spring. The Goddess is in her Maiden aspect.

Beltane-May 1 sometimes called May Day, Rood Day, or Walpurgisnacht. A fertility festival, celebrates the Goddess and God joined together. The start of Summer.

Lammas-Aug.1 also known as Loaf Mass, the festival of Lugh or Lughnasadh. It marks the end of Summer and the beginning of the Fall, It is the first harvest. It is a time when Wiccans make and bless their bread.

Samhain-Oct.31 also known as the Festival od the Dead. It is the end of the Wiccan Year, the death of the God of Light, and the second harvest. It is the time for commemorating ones loved ones who've passed on.



Yule-Dec.21 also known as the Winter Solstice. It is the longest night of the year. It is the time when the Goddess becomes the Mother aspect and gives birth to the Sun God and the days will soon get longer and longer, as He grows. It is mid-Winter.

Ostara-Mar.21 also known as the Spring Equinox or Vernal Equinox. Eastre or Eastar. It is the middle of the Wiccan Year. This is a fertility fetsival.

Litha-June 21 sometimes called the Summer Solstice or Midsummer. Being the longest day of the year, the Sun God is at His zenith. Even though modern calenders say this is the first day of Summer, it is really the middle of Summer, hence its alternative name is Midsummer.

Mabon-Sept.21 sometimes called the Fall Equinox or Harvest Home. It is a weaving festival, symbolizing joining and togetherness. It is also the second harvest. It is mid-Autumn at its height. The hours of night grow longer, the night soon becomes longer than the day.
