When Lady Firefly, then the Leader of the Wee Ones, stepped down in August
1998....she offered the job to me, one of her assistants. I jumped
at the chance, but goodness, I was scared. About a week after that,
the original DFairy retired, and DFairy Star took her place. That
was amazing, because the two of us got to learn our new jobs together, and
figure out what direction the Realms were going to go.
I had so much fun in my four years as Lady Katrina.
I've seen Wee Ones, Lady fairies, and teams come and go...and I remember
almost everyone. It's a really awesome experience to get to meet
the hundreds of Wee Ones that have come through TSF. And it's even
better when they come back again later, and you get to catch up on what
they've been doing in the meantime. I hated dismissing people, and
I loved welcoming new Wee Ones and sending out random gifts to the current
ones.
I was so sad when I finally realized, in Summer 2002,
that I wasn't going to be able to keep it up once my second year of engineering
started. School is insanely busy, and I didn't want to let the Realm
slide, so I passed it into the capable hands of Lady SuperFairyGal, who's
doing a great job so far :) But I still have all the memories...
I went through DPatrol training
to try and become a better Wee One Leader and learn how to screen out sites
that weren't family-friendly. It was great fun, and definitely worthwhile.
The SF Surfer Awards are selected
every year, and everyone in TSF can vote on them :) I treasure these ones.
I was nominated twice to receive
the TSF Friendship Award - I was nominated for the one on the right by Denny
Lancaster :)
The December 2000 Hunt was hosted
by the Legends, and I think I found almost all the graphics. The graphic
on the right was made for me by a Wee One for my 2nd anniversary of being
the Wee One Leader :)

One of the many running jokes
that the DMessage Board Fae had were Intergalactic Crayons, which everyone
was trying to eat - all sorts of strange things went on. I was the
SuperJanitor too...
