The Twelve!
The Basic Concept:
As everyone seems to know, the big 12 revelation is coming up very shortly... but before it gets here why not choose your own Twelve!
Well we've seen a few of the 12, but that doesn't mean you have to go by continuity... feel free to choose whoever (or whatever) you want. But to refresh your memory... Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Beast, Angel, Storm, Franklin Richards, Cannonball, Cable (?), and some dark haired woman have all been alluded to being of the 12. Take it for what it's worth!
The Rants and Raves:
Let's see... let's see... I figure I need to follow continuity at least some so, as we've seen before...
1) Cyclops - I worship Storm, but even I can acknowledge that Cyke has what it takes to be on the twelve and to be paramount among them.
2) Phoenix - Jean, Jean, Jean. Yeah, she just needs to expand her repetoire of powers further and step out from Scott's shadow to do her own thing. I can definetly see her getting more worked up (a la Wolverine) and staking out on her own.
3) Storm - If she hasn't already affected the course of mutantkind I'd be surprised. Especially if she's gonna be the current leader of the X-Men, then she's worthy to be on the 12. Although she works well alone too.
4-6) Iceman, Beast, Angel - What can I say? They all deserve it for different reasons. Especially Iceman in my opinion. I'd particularly like to see him come into his own.
7) Emma Frost - You just know the ex-White Queen is gonna rock the world. Not only is she training all the new X-Men, but she's just so damn cool. I can see her defending mutants through the businessroom in reckless political maneuvers.
8) Mystique - I added her here, since we know a dark haired woman has to be on the 12... Psylocke might be a better choice (she has great potential) but the idea of a villianous member of the 12 seems nice. Yes, I know Emma isn't exactly a goody two shoes...
9) Polaris - People seem to forget that she's was ever an X-Man! But she just needs to get a little more screen time and people'd fall for her all over again :)
10) Havok - Ever heard of the Summers Revolution (revolt?). Anyway, we all know this is the work of everyone's favorite younger Summers brother. Can't wait to see it happen. Plus Havok and Polaris are good together.
11) Magneto - Well what with controlling Genosha at the moment, I can't see how he couldn't affect mutantkind's destiny. He's one of the big guns afterall.
12) Dr. Reyes - Yeah, I know, I know. But wouldn't it be fun is she was?
