In The Beginning...

The first mention of the term 'Legacy brat' was in a story called 'The Artist's Way' by Dara. You can find it archived on Clarianna's fanfic page and might want to take a look sometime. It's pretty good. Anyway, we thought it was a cool description that fits some of us pretty neatly so Janet e-mailed her for permission to use the term. Since we're here, she is obviously a generous individual. ("Thanks, Dara!" *waving wildly from cyberspace*)

In 1997, when Clarianna and her friends organized a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, for some of the fans to meet and have a sort of gathering, Sandy and Janet (together they have fiction out there under the name Kethrineth) came up with the idea of stencilling 'Legacy Brat' on black T-shirts. The idea caught on, and a year later when several of us got together for a second P:TL gathering in Vancouver, British Columbia, more shirts were made for those that showed up.

In Las Vegas, we mostly hung out all over the place and shared stories about our favorite characters (there were a LOT of writers there!) while getting to know one another. We saw some great sights, too.

Less of us made it to Canada in the fall of 1998 due to finances but we still had a blast and we have pics to prove it! We even have a video... which led to the next level of Brathood. Yes, sometime past the witching hour, those who had been left unattended in the company of Chris' video camera (Chris' fiction can be found under the name of Cairistiona)created Legacy Brats, Inc. Productions. The video that resulted is an... interesting... P:TL adventure! Canada was truly the turning point. -- ("Cut the mood music guys!") -- We had both fanfic and art. We made a movie. -- ("I thought I said to cut the stupid music you guys!") -- We watched P:TL episodes and in general hung out and had a blast. By the end of the weekend it had been dubbed unofficially 'BRATCON .5' since it wasn't a con when it started.

Then came the concept for the page you are looking at now. Legacy Brats, Inc., the webpage, is meant to be a communications hub for those who wish to join us in New York next year for BRATCON 2000, the next P:TL gathering. That's one reason we put up a bulletin board. Those who aren't able to join us in our revels are more than welcome to post too, btw.

You decide the next level for Legacy Brats, Inc.
