PHEONIX(Jean Grey)
Powers: Jean is an established telepath and telekinetic.
Significant reletives: Prof. John Grey (Father), Ellen Grey (Mother), Sarah (Preusmed dead after being absorbed by the phalanx).
Jean grey first disovered her telepathic abilities when she witnessed her friend Anne dying, from Annies perspective. She held her dying friend in her arms as she felt like she was dying, too. The trauma scarred her for life. Then, Professor Xavier, a Colegue of John Grey's, acted as the childs therapest while at the same time erecting mental blocks in Jeans mind to prevent her powers from resurfacing the trauma. Jean was able to live a happy, normal life from then on... Until she discovered her Telekinetic powers (D'OH!).
She Joined Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and the X-Men (Cyclops, Iceman, Beast, and Angel), who hit on her relentlessly (Especialy the flamboyant Angel). Yet, she fell in love with the quite one, Cyclops. Sure, Bobby was cute, Hank was smart and Warren was rich, but there was something about Scott she just couldn't shake... Anyway, the two pursued a limited romance for a couple years, and even lived together when the Professor was presumed dead and the X-Men went thier seperate ways. When Krakoa finaly reared its ugly head, Jean quit the team for a while but returned briefly soon thereafter. Then she died.
On a run-away spae shuttle, Jean telepathicly absorbed Dr. Corbua's flight expertise while he and the X-Men hid in a radiation-proof capsule. Jean was enveloped by a firey force as the ship landed in the Hudson bay (In the origional story, it was the Jamacan bay, but for continuity purposes, it's the Hudson.). The X-Men searched franticly for her, when she suddenly burst out of the water in a sexy green costume surrounded by flame which took the shape of a bird. "Jean" yelled out "I... AM... PHEONIX!" before collapsing. This was not Jean at all, but rather just the pheonix entity assuming her form. This "form" found itself somewhat attracted to Wolverine, who was wilder and more dangerous (A feeling Jean herself would eventualy feel). Due to psionic manipulation, the thing went mad, killed a couple zillion people, and finaly killed itself. The X-Men thought Jean was dead now (Roughly a few months after the fact).
They were so wrong. The Pheonix has put Jean into suspended animation in a cocoon at the bottom of the Hudson bay, where she was recovered by The Avengers and the Fantastic Four. Cyclops left his wife, Madalyne Prior (A drop dead look alike for Jean) to see if this was true. The Five origional X-Men then re-banded together to form "X-Factor", a government sponsered program designed to locate and train new young mutants. Mads went, well, mad, and tried to kill Jean and Nathan Summers (Her and Scotts baby boy). She got her ass kicked. Cyclops later proposed to Jean, who turned him down flat (She had a thing for Wolverine, who'd been hitting on her non-stop). Later, the two found out they would have a daughter named Racheal, whe came back in time to join the X-Men. Jean was furious, seeing as how continuity had choosen her life for her.
Jean, along with those other four guys (Beast, Iceman, Cyclops, and Archangel) re-joined the X-Men after the Shadow King tried to take over the world, realizing that a huge core team would be more effective than a bunch of teams. That lasted five seconds as the teams were later split into X-Men Blue and X-Men Gold. Jean was placed on the Gold team, with Storm, Iceman, Archangel, Colossus, and Bishop.
Then came another turning point. After constant hounding by Cyclops, Wolverine, and Archangel, she finaly proposed to... PROFESSOR X?!?! NO! I'm kidding! Durring a pre-thanksgiving dinner Football romp (Where the Professor got sidelined), she asked Scott to marry her, because she was "tired of waiting", and also all the recent events (Like the Shadow king, Styfe trying to kill the professor, etc) made her wonder how long she'd have left in this life. The two married, and were subsequently transported 2000 years into the futer to raise Nathan Summers and to train him to fight Apocalypse (As Slym and Redd Dayspring).
After the twelve-year honeymoon in hell, The duo came back to fight the Phalanx, Alongside Wolverine and Cable (Y'know, Nathan Christopher Dayspring Askani-son Summers, 1960 years removed?) which proved... stressing. Anyway, Jean has had her ups and downs latley. Jean found out the Professor had a sordid crush on her back when she first joined the X-Men (among other things) via Onslaught, then the X-Men almost died of a bomb that was implanted in Cyclops durring Operation: Zero Tolerance, and then the five origional X-Men banded together in alaska to fight... a bunch of crows. Durring that last incident, Jean started wearing the green pheonix uniform, which REALLY cheesed off Cyclops.
Recently, An electro-magnetic pulse surged through the marvel universe (As a result of Psylockes psycic battle with Shadow King), leaving all telepaths powerless (It is unknown if her telekinetic abilities have been affected). She and Scott now live up in Alaska, off-duty from the X-Men.
