WOLVERINE
Real Name: Logan
Powers: Wolerine posseses an enhanced healing factor, Enhances senses, and bone claws which can be extracted and re-tracked at will.
Significant Relatives: None known. However, Logan does have a foster-daughter named Amiko.
Now, before I devulge into all this, let me say that Wolverine CAN be as old as 200. However, due to memory implants, the only things we can be sure of is anything that happend after HULK #180. But the general concensus is that Wolvie fought in WW2, was in the CIA with Sabretooth and Maverik, and that he was abducted while drunk and given his adamantium by Department H's Weapon x program. he was supposedly found afterwards by james and Heather Hudson, two people who worked for the Canadian government. They then introduced him to general Chase, and Logan joined department H. They ordered him to go after the Hulk and Wendigo, which he did, which brings us to...
In HULK #180, Wolerine jumps between Hulk and a creature named Wendigo, and kicks thier butts. Come Giant-sized X-men #1. Xavier is searching for mutants to help locate and rescue his origional X-Men. Wolverine accepts his offer, and leaves Depatrment H (but not without tearing up General Chase's suit first). He doesn't play a big role in the rescue, but his oft-defiance and additude makes him a fan-favorite. Not even having a first name, this mysterious short-guy with an additude did what he wanted, when he wanted, and was the best there was at what he did. And still is.
When Jean Grey returns to the team for a short while, Wolverine finds himself smitten. However, he has to contend with Cyclops, Jeans boyfriend. Wolverine does get Jeans attention, and the two share a sorta-romance. Jean, however, decides to play neutral and doesn't go for either of the men (Interesting note: Wolvie and Jean have swapped spit at least three times on-panel, and there's a WHAT-IF tale concerning if the two became an item). However, Jean is soon replaced by the Pheonix power, and even though no one knows it's not really Jean, Pheonix acts the part.
Pheonix soon commited went mad, and commited suicide (having already kiled billions of sentient beings). Why's this important? Because it's imediatly after this that Wolverine gets his Brown and Orange costume, perhaps reflecting his mourning. Wolverine continued to fight along-side the X-Men nontheless. Kitty Pryde then joined the team, and Wolverine took her under his wing. Kitty was soon possesed by Ogun, Wolverine's former Martial-arts teacher (which conferms he's spent time in japan). Kitty, through this possesion, learns the deadly art of ninja, but has an inadiquetly trained body. Wolverine searves as her sensie and trainer (along with Stevie Hunter, her dance teacher).
However, soon the Morlock massacre happened, leaving half the X-men cripples and Wolverine thinking Sabretooth is his dad. This is quickly proven wrong, but in the following fights, wolverine throws his apparent "dad" off a cliff. Kitty and Nightcrawer (the only two people besides Colossus and Storm Woverine actualy liked on the team) were gravely injured,and went to Muir Isle for treatement, and joined Excalibur.
Soon after, The X-Men battled an ancient native-american "god" called the Advesary in Dallas, apparently getting killed in the proccess. However, They were actualy transported by Gateway to Austrailia, and were given "techno-cloaking" by Roma, protector of reality. Jubilation lee, a young mutant, saw the X-Ladies at a mall, and followed them back to thier base. it was there that Jubilee meet Wolverine, Crucified on an "X" after an attack by the Reavers. Wolverine inducted her into the X-Men, and the two became fast friends. They went into the Seige Perilous, and ended up in Madipoor. Wolverine took up the identity "Patch" (he wore a patch over his eye), and started running a bar. he had frequent problems with ninjas, but he often kicked their butts.
Once, around this time, Wolverine was set to marry a woman named Mariko Yashida. However, her father objecter, and Wolverine and the man dueled to a stand-still, and Master-mind manipulated her into calling off the wedding. She was later poisoned, and asked Wolverine to kill her so she wouldn't suffer. He did.
It was also around this time that durring one of the X-Mens battles, a japanesse woman died, and entrusted the care of her daughter, Amiko, to Wolverine. However, Wolverine knew he wasn't fit to raise a child, so he left her in the care of the Silver Samuri (an enemy of his), who he knew he could trust, despite thier differences.
Soon, The X-Men was at full capacity (Cyclops, Jean, Iceman, Beast, Archangel, Wolverine, Storm, Psylocke, Jubilee, Rogue, Gambit, Colossus, and Professor X). Durring this time, Wolveinr had found out about the memory implants, and now was more convolted than ever. Things got worse when Wolverine decided to attack Magneto square-on. Mags RIPPED the Adamantium off Wolverine's skeleton, as well as erasing his ATM card. That bastard!
Wolverine was later shocked to dicover he had BONE claws! (whether they were underneith the adamantium, or if they grew there because of the absence of the adamantium claws is anyone's guess.) However, Wolverine was severly whipped, and left the X-men, feeling he wasn't good enough for them at the moment.
To add insult to injury, Lady Deathstrike came looking for blood, but when she saw wolverine only had bone claws, she said to defeat him in such a state would be disshonorable because she had too much avantage. Ouch. Wolverine eventualy ran into Cyber (a badie with adamantium skin), who snapped the claws on wolverined hand. It had to hurt. Wolverine, with the assistance of Excalaber, handed Cyber his metal ass, locked him up and threw away the key.
Wolverine returned to the X-Mansion to "talk" to Sabretooth (who was receiving therapy). However, as expected, a battle broke out, and Sabretooth taunted Wolverine by saying he'd kill every woman he ever loved if he escaped. Woverine couldn't take it, and pined Sabes up against the wall with two of his outter claws. Sabes kept talking, and -SHULK!-...
Sabretooth now had the mental state of a kitten. Jubilee was in Generation X, so Wolverine started hanging out with Cannonball. Durring this time, Cyber was sprung from prison by Genisis and the Dark Riders. The Subjected Cyber to thewrath of Dung Beetles, which ate his flesh, leaving the Adamantium behind. They soon kidnapped Wolverine, and tried to bond the adamantium to his skeleton so he could be a Horseman for Apocalypse. Wolverine would have none of that, rejected the adamantium, and... lost his nose.
WHAT?
Let me explain. Wolverine's healing factor went on turbo, either regressing him of advancing him into an animal-like state. He kicked the rider's asses and took off, and Sam warned the X-men. They found him wandering Egypt, and took him home. Wolverine gradualy regained his human form, but still has slured speech. He tried to be friends with the newer X-men, But Maggott left, Cecilia gave him additude and left, and Marrow stabbed him in the neck with a bone.
Recently, Wolverines buddies Colossus, Shadowcat, and Nightcrawlercame back to the team, and they are now all looking for professor X, who's been MIA since Onslaught.
