Honest Poll
Does Honest Gamer need more reviews or strategy guides?

It needs more reviews, of course!
Obviously, it needs more strategy.
It needs more of both, bitch!
I'm quite content with what you have in both sections.
What this site needs is to die quietly.

I am pleased to announce that today's update consists of two brand new reviews from new author Michael Sinclair, who has graciously chosen to share his thoughts with readers on the games Orphen: Scion of Sorcery (PS2) and Summoner (PS2). What a deal!

Today's update consists of two submissions from James Gordon. One is a review for Krazy Racers (GBA), while the other is a guide to using DSS in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (GBA). Both are quite cool, so read them now! If that's not enough of an update, read fiction Lassarina Aoibhell wrote for the game Final Fantasy IV. And that's the extent of today's additions. See you next update!

It's been a while since the last update, and for that I apologize. So today, I've written a fresh review for Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil (PS2). Also, there's a new bit of fiction from new author Richard Broderick for the game Goldeneye (N64). I hope to have new content online again in time for Monday. See you next update!

Since yesterday I didn't add much of anything, and today since no reviews or guides were handy, I decided to write an editorial. It's called In Defense of Retro Gaming, and I think you might find it quite interesting. Or whiny. One of the two. If it's the latter, you can always post on the club boards, though, so it's all good. And now, I must say my sad farewells. Well, for today. See you next update, hopefully sometime soon.

Today's update isn't much of an update at all. I moved the old poll results to the archives, and there's a new one for your voting pleasure. Maybe I can manage an update tomorrow. No one has submitted anything worthy of posting, though, and I'm out of time unless I manage something after work this evening. See you next update!

It was time for another guide, so I looked around and and the only game I could conveniently write one for was Twisted Metal: Black (PS2). I figure people will like that just fine, so there's now a new guide up on the site. Enjoy, and I hope to see you tomorrow with another update.

The site is now updated so that you can find the rating for a game at the bottom of each individual page. For example, if James Gordon gave Beyond the Beyond a rating of 93, you would be able to see that rating on two pages: the listing of all reviews for that game, as well as the individual page containing the actual review. This makes it easier to link to a review from an author profile page, and was done because James suggested it and I agreed it was a good idea. Way to go, James! There's also a new review by Justin Hurkman for Shenmue (DC) and an update to the author profile for Phil Estes. Joy!

Today's update is a new editorial for the site, this one written by Justin Hurkman. His editorial, Movies of Video Games: Are they Getting Better, or Worse? has a title that pretty much tells you what you can expect, so I won't describe it any more right here. As you may have noticed, 'editorials' is the new term for what was once 'articles.' Let's face it: the 'articles' have always been editorials. Now they just have a more accurate name. See you for tomorrow's update, hopefully.

I'm sorry to say the special surprise I had planned for this week didn't work out, but at least I'm adding a totally new review for Twisted Metal: Black (PS2). That should make up for it at least a little. I'll probably see you tomorrow with another update.

For the update today, I thought I would add the new review by James Gordon for Tenchu 2 (PSX), as well as Zack Mast's review for Pokemon Silver/Gold (GBC) and Scott Morris's reviews for MTV Music Generator 2 (PS2) and Madden 2001 (PS2) (you can also read his profile). It's been a while since the last visible update, and for that I apologize. To make amends, I've also updated the author profile for Ryan Thompson and put up a profile for Justin Hurkman, who has begun fanfic projects I posted elswhere on the site (check his profile for more information). And sometime early next week, there may be a special surprise. Kind of makes you tingly all over, doesn't it?

Today, the site features an update in the form of a review for Diablo II (PC), written by James Gordon. You're bound to love the review, and me for posting it. Also, I finally managed to list all my contributions for the list that goes with my author profile. If you're interested, you can view the enormous list here. See you next update!

All the work I've wanted to do on the site for this huge change is now completed, except for listings of what reviews I've written under my name in the Authors section of the site. That will come soon, too. While you're waiting, why not check out the author profile for Zack Mast? It's been updated.

The authors section of the site is under construction...again. This change will cause various sections to briefly vanish from the site, but they'll return within minutes. If you want to see what all the fuss is about, go to the DC reviews section of the site and look around thoroughly. The work I've been doing these past few days is nearing completion. What do you think? Also, information about authors Lee Weedall and Lassarina Aoibhell is now available.
