Log: I probably should update this when I do my updates on the page. As many of you know, the new Robotech Shadow Chronicles RPG has come out. As you can imagine, I got one of the first copies and am thoroughly loving it. This has stirred some of the creative juices, and updates are on the way for the page. Most will be along the lines of making the stats for various mecha reflect the new stats in the book, or at the very least, start at the same base point. Alphas, Betas, and Cyclones will be the most rewritten, while the Command Buggy has been removed (replaced by the Silverback) and the Vindicator will be changed to reflect the players' versions.

Log: Hard to believe it has been a year since the last noted update. Of course, the campaign is going strong. We ran through Center (The wimps wouldn't leave the middle of the main thoroughfare. Next time, I have to remember not to tell stories about the life expectancy of PCs on Center.) If you've been paying attention, I've put up notes on Pheonix Unlimited (the PCs' mercenary group) and the Blazer, a Hunter Destroyer the group stole from a pirate group. Coming up next is the Ramantha Queen, an old luxury liner the group acquired and are trying to figure out what they are going to do with. Also of interest: A chart of the speeds of various Phase World vehicles; and, a spreadsheet to calculate the cost of building a Phase World fighter or starship. The prices come from the various Phase World books and Rifts Sourcebook 1: Revised.

Log: If you are looking for information about the upcoming Phase World campaign I'm going to be playing in, here's everything you need to know about the game. The group is the crew of an Arabian-class REF troop carrier that had a very bad day, and mis-folded into the Phase World universe. That is the basic background story. The preference is that the characters be made up of Robotech OCCs (which I have updated to R:UE standards), but there are allowances being made for "civilian" characters (OCCs that aren't from Robotech). An example of which is a Robot Slammer (Rifts: Canada) character being run, that has his skills and background from Robotech. The game wouldn't be Robotech based if we didn't have transformable mecha. Alphas, Betas, and Cyclones are all included, along with some other starting mecha, if the players choose to have them in their starting list. So you're reading this and you are thinking "Cool!", but what about the rules. The quick and easy is that we are going to be using Rifts: Ultimate Edition as our base, with allowances for things that are unique to Robotech. My partner and I have already come up with some tweaks, and I've included them here as the Robotech Notes. Our goal is to make sure that everyone is on the same page and that way, we can all have fun. If you are interested, drop me a line and I will let you know where and when we will be playing.

Log: Surprisingly, I've just put some updates in my Robotech RPG section. This is in preparation for an upcoming Robotech/Rifts campaign a friend and I are planning to play here in Maryland. The Arabian, Pegasus, and Alabama have all been updated and corrected.

Log: Not many changes really. I have updated my homerules, putting them more in line with Rifts: Ultimate Edition. Unless some other stuff comes up with further gaming, that should be the last of the major changes there.
Something that is annoying the hell out of me are these damn webspammers. These guys think it is cute and funny to log onto someone's feedback page and leave advertisements for their sucky porno and get-rich-quick pages. I average 3 or 4 a day, but I'm sure other pages out there get many times more. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get them to stop, please let me know.

Log: In an effort to put the East-Coast City-States section more in line with some of the official descriptions from various WorldBooks, I decided to change the population numbers of most of the cities present there. Most cities have seen their populations cut in half, with the requisite drop in military numbers as well. While the ARMOR City-States have retained most of their original populations, the number of human occupants have been cut by more than half. It should be noted that while they are from a human base, half and full Martians are not included in the human population numbers.
A funny thought hit me after I finished reading the Chaos Earth mainbook: Golden Age humans had life-spans that could be measured at anywhere between 200-300 years. Since roughly 10% of Baltimore's Pre-Apocalypse population was shifted to 80 years after the Apocalypse, this would mean that it is possible that some of these Golden Age humans would still be alive, barring accidental death in combat or getting eaten. It also brings up the interesting thought that 2nd or 3rd generation PA Baltimoreans could have lifespans of 125-200 years, since a lot of the lifespan extensions were described as being genetic changes and could be passed on to offspring. More on this later....

Log: Well, all of the layout changes have been made. Besides adding in the new menu sidebar, I also went through and re-edited several of the entries on the RPG page (mostly in the Robotech section); a couple of which I didn't realize hadn't been formatted correctly. There have also been additions to the Baltimore City-State section. Next up will be additions to my Gundam page, including entries for MS Igloo, Gundam Seed, and Seed Destiny.
Speaking of Seed Destiny: I am considering offering DVD copies of Seed Destiny to anyone who doesn't have a broadband connection to download the episodes as they come out. I will keep this offer out there until either Destiny DVDs are offered here in the US, or Destiny makes it onto TV here. Drop me an email if you are interested, and I will give you the details. Log: Okay, so the update didn't come as quickly as I would have planned. I'm slowing going to start phasing in the layout change over the next week or so. So far the main pages have been updated, with work being done on the secondary pages. More than likely, I will have them all phased in by July 1st.
Also, to answer a message that I recieved, no I probably will not be doing any maps outside of North America for Rifts. The U.S. was a big chore, but now that it is done, I might tackle Canada. I haven't decided yet. Doing Mexico will depend entirely upon whether I get my hands on the Vampires sourcebooks. Thanks for asking though.

Log: After seeing several pages listing this one as being dead or abandoned, I figured this would be a better way to update folks as to what has been changed or updated versus using the old Version number system. Since it seems that I was the only one who got that numbering system, it isn't a big loss. Well, on to the good stuff. As of the last week or so, the following changes have been made:

First, the maps of the Rifts United States have been pretty much completed. All of the major World Books have been consulted, and their information has been included. A major gripe that I have deals with the amount of fact checking Palladium seems to be doing these days. I found that many of the locations in the newer books (Coalition Wars) seem to range from being off a little bit, to being flat out wrong in reference to their earlier books. The biggest example of this is the city of Free Quebec. Every book prior to the Coalition Wars series says that Free Quebec is 100 miles west of Old Bones (Old Quebec). In their maps for Coalition Wars, Free Quebec suddenly shows up almost 200 miles due north of Old Bones. What? Did the Quebecois decide to move their city because they went to war with Chi-Town? Another example is Port Huron. Many of the newer books say it is just east of the Coalition base at Sault Ste. Marie, while Spirit West places it almost 100 miles north of that location. I don't know about you, but don't you think the Coalition would think twice about putting a base within a Native American Preserve?

Second up, the skills list has been updated to the Games Master Guide standard. I am absolutely loving that book. It has fixed many issues that I had with the game system, making many of my Home Rules no longer necessary. While the Home Rules are staying, much of the stuff that's no longer needed has been taken out.

Last, but by far not least, my Links page has been updated. A couple of old links have been taken down, a couple of new ones have been added.

That's it for now. I will be switching this page over to a frameless format in the next week or so. This is mostly because Geocities has decided to screw up everybody's page with their own frame, versus either sticking with the floating window or giving us the choice of whether we prefer the window or a frame. Since frames (theirs or mine) seem to screw with the visitor count, I've decided to take them all down. I'm also going to update the East Coast City-States campaign to 109 P.A. Finally, for you Gundam fans out there. I will be doing some additional updates to that page beyond the new Burke's Big List of Mecha that I put up a couple of weeks ago. I might even get around to finishing my expanded U.C. Gundam universe campaign for Mecha!. Look out for it..

I love to getting feedback from my many vistors (many of which I do respond to by email) so leave a message for me on my guestbook.
