Halloween 2005</head>

2005

Ahh, 2005. We got ambitious and chose two costumes this year because we just couldn't settle on one. For one thing, Susie and Chad came back from Oklahoma, so we decided to do a four-person costume theme - see Saturday for more on that. We also went with our usual two-person theme, which this year was Miracle Max and Valerie from the movie, The Princess Bride. A lot of people recognized us and we had a great time! And here we are...

Humperdink!

This was the first time we made latex masks (Adam and Barbara were made of Celluclay and so was Jack Skellington). I think it turned out great, though it turns out that when your nose is running and you're wearing a latex mask, you just have to kind of deal with it. Yuck. Here is a photo of the real characters:

MLT!
I think we look like them, don't you?

And here are some more photos of us...

I'm not a witch, I'm your wife! To Blave! Yay Friendship!
I didn't even know we HAD an International Friendship Center in Madison. Who would have known?

Nay!
I had to have my picture taken by a horse butt. That's just funny.

And now some pictures of people who aren't us:

I'm a Lego! Yeah!
This guy was a Lego. We never saw a Lego brick costume before, so he posed majestically for us so that we could take a picture.

Nee!
Jon wanted to take a picture of this Knight who says Nee. I personally don't think he's so great. What-ever.

I am wearing my underwear outside of my pants.
Yeah, I used to watch Doug when I was, like, 12. I don't remember much about it, but Quailman is Doug's superhero creation. We saw no less than 6 Quailmen during the weekend. That's kind of a lot for such an obscure character.

Fire bad! Underwear good!
This guy was on stilts outside the Orpheum, pimping some Underwear Party there. It's sad the underwear party was Friday and not Saturday because of what we dressed up as on Saturday. (FOTL.) See our Saturday photos for more on that...

dum da da dum da da dum...
We saw people dressed as Tetris. So cool! Jon had this idea about 10 minutes before we saw them. He was so sad that somebody stole his idea so soon after he thought of it. Poor Jon.
