Baptism

 Baptisms are held regularly during Sunday Liturgies as well as on the fourth weekend of the month after the 5:30 Mass and after the Sunday 12:00 Mass; however, there are NO BAPTISMS DURING LENT.  For more information regarding the Baptismal Schedule, please call the Parish Center Office at 852-3195 in order to coordinate dates.

 This formal Religious Education program is supplemental in the preparation of a child for the sacraments.  Much of the preparation is done in the family setting.  The Faith Formation Office will provide materials and guidelines.  At St. Malachy Church children are to be in at least their second year of religious education in order to prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

 A parent/child workshop is offered in the fall for second grade families.  This prayerful workshop is the basis for family sacramental preparation.  Children make first Reconciliation at either the Advent or Lent parish Reconciliation Services, or during the regular Saturday reconciliation time.

First Eucharist

 A parent/child preparation meeting is held in January.  At this meeting, the materials and information to prepare you to work with your child will be distributed.  Eucharistic Retreat Mornings for the children are scheduled in February and March.  First Communion Masses are scheduled during the Easter season.
