The year was 1975 when Gerry and Sylvia Anderson released a new T.V. show with a strange twist; What if a nuclear explosion was to blow the moon out of the earth's orbit!?
Well on September 13th 1999, Commander Koenig and his crew found out exactly what would happen! In the series pilot "Breakaway", The nuclear waste storage sites on the moon over heat and cause a massive chain reaction of nuclear explosions which tears the moon out of orbit and sends it shooting off into unexplored space!
The earth is rocked by the seperation of it's satelite, and destruction and devastation occur every where. There are major earthquakes, tidal waves, volcanic eruptions, sepration of fault lines, flooding, massive loss of life, etc...
Meanwhile in the Command Center of Moonbase Alpha, Commander Koenig has an important decision to make...
Try to make it back to earth, or stay on Moonbase and see what happens. The moon goes out of the Eagle transporter ship's range so fast, that his decision is made for him.
And so the adventure begins....
