| This is rifts, a place set at least 300 years in the future (it is not clear what year it is, there is about a 200 year gap in history. The year is 102 P.A.[post-apocylptic]). High technology reigns. There is masive amounts of magical energy on earth in the form of ley lines. These Ley lines harbor nexus points, and these nexus points open dimetional rifts, hence the name Rifts. Through these rifts enter supernatural beings and becuase of this, Earth is now a strange and unusual place. You take control of one of over 100 (if you have all the books) characters trying to survive. It is an amazing atmosphere, filled with vampires, super-enhanced human, monsteruos D-bee's (dimetional beings), evil mages, psionic humans, Dragons, and many more. Just surviving with all these beings roaming earth, is a task in itself. There are thousands of possible adventures to take on. |
