Frei-Tek, Incorporated has released its newest weapon of choice for starfighters, the Frei-Tek MD-1 Mass Driver. This weapon uses a linear accelerator to fire projectiles of metallic mas at a target. A long-range gun, it requires less energy per shot than most blasters and has a relatively fast refire rate. This new weapon is relatively inexpensive making it a choice for pirates and smuggler craft. The New Republic has out fitted 12 E-Wings with these new weapons. This squadron is being transferred to the NRS Imperceptible. It is hoped that worthy pilots will have been selected for the new squadron by then.

By order of Supreme Commander Ackbar, the Seventh Fleet of the New Republic is hereby dispatched to the Outlier Regions to maintain order. The Commander of the Seventh Fleet shall be Commodore James Guenther and Intelligance Commander shall be General Robert Henry. Martial Law may be declared by either of these two person if the situation becomes that dire and only with good reason, subject to review by the Defense Council.
