The Best of Superboy
This section was created to give fans more detailed episode summaries for some of the best Superboy episodes created. (At least in my opinion) Each page will feature detailed and in-depth descriptions of the episode along with quotes and photos from the episodes.
Already online is "Bride of Bizarro", the first two-part episode of the third season. The episode was written by two Superman comic book editors. Namely, Michael Carlin and Andrew Helfer.
This is one of the best episodes of the series since it teams up Luthor and Bizarro. It features the creation of Bizarro Lana, and uses kryptonite as a major plot device. This episode also featured some of the best flying sequences from the series. One of these sequences can be seen in the RealVideo section of the site.
Now up is "Roads Not Taken" which in my opinion is the best episode of the entire series. Gerard Christopher plays three different versions of Superboy, each with their own different personalities and he plays them well! Sherman Howard plays two completely different versions of Luthor also. The acting is top-of-the-line and so is the story which features Superboy and Luthor visiting worlds in which they each took different paths in life. This is the best two-parter in the series and is absolutely incredible. So, to get the full story, head to the "Roads Not Taken" section now.
It's time for the third of the Superboy episodes I consider the best of the series. This one is "Know Thine Enemy" a very dramatic episode in which Superboy enters Luthors memories and lives Luthor's troubled childhood while at the same time Luthor has a bomb ready to eliminate all life on earth. This episode is really powerful and dramatic. It centers around Luthor's love for his younger sister Lena. This episode gives us a lot of background information on Luthor and shows us how he came to be an insane killer.
