Frontier Fiddler, Art by Jan Haddox

Welcome, everybody, to the sturdy, comfortable wooden cabin home of.....

OLD MAN FIDDLER

Howdy-do, Fiddle Friends!

I'm Otto E. Funk, formerly of New York City, and jus' recently re-located to the forests of Northern Californy --- but you can just call me Old Man Fiddler.

This here's me webpage, where I tell ye good folks a few good fiddle tales;
and share with ya a few bits o' fiddlin' news, AND give ya a few o' me favorite fiddle links! (Heh-heh!)
We even gotcha a few pitchers of some fiddlers makin' their musical merry, in me Fiddler's Gallery, too!
We'll git this here barn dance started soon, but don't ya worry none if'n things git kinda slow.
After all, seein' as this here just happens t' be Richard Washington's Blackbeard's Castle,
you folks probably know by now that just about anythin's possible!

Just ask Blackwolf the Dragonmaster,
Uncle Fergus,
King Edward VII of Britain
or King Humphrey III of Berenicia!
I'm so proud t' be part o' their happy little family!
Wheeeeeee!

So you jus' check on back whenever you can, 'cuz you know everythin' around here's always under construction.

I'll be around fer sure --- fiddlin' on me fiddle, o' course! (Heh-heh!)
But until then, you can always find yer way to th' website o' Fiddler Magazine,
where fiddle magic happens just about every day!

And just so's y' folks don't git too lonely, I got me very own Theme Song to share wi' ye Good People!

Jest so's y'knows, some of the fiddle links I got here will be connected --- or are bein' connected --- to MySpace.com. They'll be recognized by an asterisk with the appropriate link. Uncle Fergus' Bagpipers' Paradise is doin' that, too!

Now then, if'n yer ready to swing ye partner wi' a do-si-do, let's let this 'ere barn dance begin!

Wanna hear a little bit more fiddlin'?
Then join me fellow fun-lovin' old coots,
The Quartet of the Longbeards!
But, if'n ye don't feel up t' it,
ye kin always head back t'
Blackbeard's Castle!
