Cead mille failte, me Highland friends, and welcome tae me humble home here on the web!

We've team'd up with YouTube.com and MySpace.com to bring ye the loudest bagpipers' videos and weblinks around! (Just type the words "bagpipe music" or "pipe band music" in the appropriate search mechanism, and you'll see 'em, right as rain!) Pipe Bands and/or individual Pipers for these two specific places will be recognized accordingly with either a number or an asterisk; the process will take some time to complete, so we need tae be askin' fer yer patience as we take on this new challenge.

Those Simon Fraser University Pipers doona know how tae quit! They're yer 2008 Grade One World Champeens --- again! And they got their own channel tae prove it: SFUtube.com! Go tune in!

Barely four months left fer ye tae make yer plans fer the 2009 International Gathering of the Scottish Clans @ Edinburgh! Friday, July 25th and Saturday, July 26th will see Holyrood Park hosting one of the largest-ever assemblings of Scottish Clans, startin' wi' a spectacular Highland Games/Heavy Events Championships --- then on the big Saturday, an unprecedented Parade up the Royal Mile leads to a spectacular single-night Clans' Pageant at the Castle Esplanade! 'Tis all part o' HomecomingScotland.com, a year-long festival that celebrates Robert Burns' 250th Birthday Anniversary! Click as shown for the full schedule of 2009 events!

Six of Scotland's most famous Regiments --- The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment); the King's Own Scottish Borderers; the Royal Scots; the Royal Highland Fusiliers; the Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons); and the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders --- have been consigned into the pages of Scottish and British Military history. In their place now stands the Royal Regiment of Scotland, which also encompasses all the Pipe Bands of each of its former components. In addition, the Lowland and Highland Bands have likewise been merged, and the combined Massed Bands now wear officially designed kilts.
