Rivetted Chainmail
Butted mail is what you find just about everywhere. This was used as a emergency repair during the medieval age. Butted mail is O.K. for costuming or playing around with. Rivetted Chainmail was known to repel even spears. Wow. Real protection. We hit this stuff with an Axe it took 5 hits to break one link. If that isn't completely amazing I don't know what is. Rivetted Chainmail is truly a piece of metal working art. We dare you to give it the same punishment if it doesn't Completely amaze you Send it back. Once again it is all part of our 100% unconditional, no hassle 30 day money back guarantee, If you Order any of our items. When you Order our Rivetted Chainmail, it comes with our additional LIFETIME GUARANTEE. This product will stand the test of time, and become a family heirloom, handed down for generations.
Chainmail Measurements
Most of what you'll find out there is ½ inch inner diameter or very close to it. All of our items are 16ga. to ¼ in or smaller except where not technically feasible (8 in 1 pattern and others as noted). Wire is measured in gauges (i.e. 20 gauge is 1/20 of an inch, 1 gauge is 1 inch ect.). An inner diameter is the diameter of the inside of the link. This is equal to the size of rod used to spin the wire. So if you use 14 gauge wire (1/14 of an inch) on a ½ inch rod (2 gauge wire ha ha) you've got 14ga. to ½ .
Patterns
All of our patterns are true to armoring needs. I have often seen the work of those who would be great chain smiths reveal their inexperience by not knowing, understanding, or offering real medieval patterns; like the Standard. They are producing pieces with inherent flaws, places where a blade would catch and pierce the mail causing you to have a very bad day. You can be assured that any piece we sell will be accurate and true. Made so blades will slide on by. This is once agin part of our 100% unconditional, no hassle 30 day money back guarantee, If you Order any of our items.
