Sgt. Nick Furry The Strategic Weapon Of Rapid Destruction is a small gang, consisting of only three members. All three members are however, heavily equiped. Sgt. Furry is accompanied by Dum-Dum and Reb. Each member seems to carry at least 3 guns and a hand to hand weapon. The S.W.O.R.D. have clashed with the Darkness and Light and the Red Army Faction twice, once whilst hunting down a Genestealer. On both these occasions all three members were force to leave the scene due to injuries. More Recently they had a minor skirmish with a small group of Escher and faired somewhat better. Sgt. Furry seems intent on maintaining the small size of his gang and doesn't seem to intend to hire anyone else. The gang of three has been going from strength to strength, slowley but surely gaining a reputation as so of hardest men in the underhive. Sgt Furry lost his eye recently but was able to replace it with a bionic implant, he now calls himself Colonel Furry. The S.W.O.R.D. were recently outlawed after a skirmish with the spandex militia but quickly put this behind them and went on a successful vampyre hunt. The Colonel seems to have developed a taste for hand to hand combat and can often be seen charging head long at the enemy powersword in hand, although he will also pause to use his meltgun with deadly accuracy. Dum-Dum has become an expert with his boltgun but on more than one occassion, realising that they can't out-shoot him, enemies have found he's just as handy with his chainsword. Reb is also a good shot and seems to be able to take huge quantities of punishment before falling. The S.W.O.R.D. have continued to opperate with just these three members, and short of a death in the gang this looks unlikely to change. The S.W.O.R.D. continue to maintain their reputation as some of the hardest men in the hive. Having recntly gained a reputation as "spyrer hunters" the S.W.O.R.D. have tangled with genestealers several times. Whilst unable to get the upper hand on the 'stealers the S.W.O.R.D. were able to inflict several casualties on the stealers before retreating back into the hive. More recently the S.W.O.R.D. have mounted a couple of daring attacks on the Hades Suns, easily bypassing the defenses of the larger gang and acheiving their aims with no casualties. The gang have maintained their small size and this continues to work well for them. |
