One day in January, I got the chance to meet Laurell K Hamilton, however briefly, at a book signing near Saint Louis. And I have to say that she has to be one of the nicest people I have ever met! The line at the Barnes and Noble was huge! (I really don't think that they were expecting so many people, or they'd have put the signing somewhere else in the store, because we were blocking the cash registers.) My sister and I were close to the front of the line when the signing began, and Ms. Hamilton took the time to talk to everyone, not just while signing, but while they were in line. (The line wasn't moving all that fast because of it, either.) She talked about how she pretty much wrote herself into a corner with Anita and the Boys, because no matter what she decides, a huge chunk of her readers will be upset. I think that she's got it figured out for herself, though. She also talked about how Anita's going to do some travelling in her future. (She seemed especially excited about that one, because she's been visiting the countries that she wants to take Anita to.) I even got to get a picture with her, which I'll get up on the web as soon as I finish off the roll. *g* It was all in all a really cool experience! (I hear that she signed for so long that she had to stop and ice down her elbow after I left!)

Just thought that I'd share.
