Borg Objectives

For the Borg to be able to effectively compete,and also be able to move at a relatively fast rate,your probes to complete objectives must be successful almost all of the time. To make sure your probes will be successful you should know which objectives you plan to get points from,what icons you need to complete the probes as well as which cards will give you a successful probe. Currently there are nine cards that have all the icons to complete the bulk of the Borg objectives(Eliminate Starship is excluded from this list)these cards are:
Borg Queen
Locutus of Borg
Borg Cube
Queen's Borg Cube
Activate Subcommands
Retask
Awaken
Assimilate Counterpart
Build Interplexing Beacon
Those are the nine cards which have every Borg Subcommand Icon on them and are therefore,probally,the best probe cards. Of course probing is random so there is no way to guarantee that you will have a successful result... Of course if you've read Mot's "Useless Card Review" on Probing you'll find many ways to manipulate your deck so that your successful probe cards are at the top of deck of your deck,so that when you probe you will guarantee yourself of success. Cards like Zalkonian Storage Capusle and Orb of Prophecy and Change are excellent choices if you plan to manipulate your deck so that your probes will be successful. Now to give you an idea of which icons you'll need to complete each objective here is a list of which icons are required by each objective:

As stated above for the Borg to win consistently you can't have your probes failing time and time again. If your probes are unsuccessful your deck will not be able to move quickly and therefore will wind,probally,wind up giving your opponent an advantage. While you'll be waiting for a probe to succeed they'll be out completeing their missions and eventually pulling away. When you build a Borg deck you must keep in mind that to win your probes need to be successful so before building your deck to basically just blow up your opponents starship and kill their personnel at least get some cards into the deck which will help you manipulate and then easily probe successfully so you can get points after you blow their ship out of the stars.
