How to become a member of the USS Excelsior Email Sim:

If you wish to join the crew of the USS Excelsior on their adventures, there are a few things you will need to do first. 

1. It is a good idea to enter the Mission Logs area and read some of the more recent entries and episodes to get a good feel of how the story is progressing.  It will also help familiarize you with the crew and their writing style.
2. Read the USS Excelsior Email Sim Manual to learn the basics of how email sims work.
3. Send an email to Captain Brandon Walsh at jgkrok@jgkrokil.com .  This message should include a brief paragraph stating information about yourself and why you would like to join the sim.  Then describe the character you would like to add to the sim.  Include any ideas about him/her that you might have.

4. Once you have received a reply from Captain Brandon Walsh and you both have agreed on the character and position, you need to create your character's biography.  You can use the Excelsior Manuals to help you in creating the bio in addition to ones posted on this website..  Once you have completed the bio, send a copy to Captain Brandon Walsh for approval.  It will then be placed on this website for others to view.
5. Captain Brandon Walsh will then introduce your character in the game.  From there, you will need to add your e-mail address to the Excelsior Listserver (below). This Listserver will allow you to post your logs and receive logs from other characters. When subscribed to the Listserver, you will send your posts to excelsior@makelist.com and they will be distributed to the crew of the Excelsior. Welcome aboard!
