Tarak Nor-Deep Space Nine

Deep Space Nine, the key to the entire Alpha Quadrant. Once the Cardassian controlled station Tarak Nor, DS9 has now become a major staging ground in the Federation and Klingon war against the Dominion. DS9 orbits the planet Bajor, and protect the Bajoran worm hole, a fast transport between the Alpha and Gamma quadrants. Manned by Captain Benjamin Sisko and crew, DS9 holds the worm hole for the Federation. The official starship of Deep Space Nine is the U.S.S. Defiant, a strong "escort ship," which becomes a warship on demand.
