Blimpie goes to the Celtic Festival and Highland Games in Springfield, Illinois!

On May 6, 1998 Blimpie and his friends Ian, Elf, Danz, Kev and Carrie went to the Celtic Festival in Springfield, IL. We were all excited because many of the group have some Celtic blood in us. Blimpie was excited because he could look for spiders.
Many of the people there wore kilts. Kilts are long skirt like clothes that people from Scotland wear. The different colors and patterns on the kilt represents the different families, or clans, in Scotland. Here I am visiting with some men in kilts.
The men played traditional Celtic games. One game involved tossing a tree trunk. Another involved tossing a straw pillow over a marker with a pitchfork. Here's a picture:
All this activity made me tired.
