Laws of Thermodynamics

How does the theory of evolution contradict the first law of thermodynamics?

True science has never discovered anything that contradicts the Word of God. Evolution, on the other hand, not only contrdicts the Word of God, but it also contradicts known scientific laws, such as the laws of thermodynamics. The first law of thermodynamics deals with conservation of matter and energy. This law tells us that nothing is now being created. Matter and energy can be converted from one form to another, but can neither be created nor destroyed. This contradicts the idea that things are being created now (evolving). At the end of the sixth day, the Bible states that "...the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work..." (Genesis 2: 1,2). Thus Creation is finished. God is preserving what He created in six days, but He no longer is creating anything except for occasional miracles.

How does the theory of evolution contradict the second law of thermodynamics?

The second law of themodynamics shows that systems left to themselves go to a condition of greater disorder, probability and randomness. Hurricans do not build buildings. Explosions in junkyards do not build airplanes. Earthquakes do not create living systems. This law can be illustrated by dropping a handful of golf tees on an overhead projector. Even if the tees are in an ordered pattern when they are dropped, they will finish in a random pattern. Systems go from order to disorder. This contradicts evolutionary theory, which assumes that disordered pariicles eventually evolved to form ordered life. The second law of themodynamics also contradicts the idea that a Big Bang Explosion could have produced an ordered universe. The golf tees can arranged in a stick man pattern. Is the stick man a result of time and chance or the product ot an intelligent designer? An audience may laugh at the work "intelligent", but they will clearly see that the stick man was purposely formed and not the result of an accident. For an ordered pattern to occur, there must be a designer and energy. Likewise, the orderliness of the universe and the complexity of living organisms confirm the work of a divine Creator. Our ordered universe could not have developed from chaos.

The second law of thermodynamics is also called a universal law of decay. Everything ultimately falls apart and disintegrates with time. The sun is burning up, the rotation of the earth is slowing down and the magnetic field of the earth is decreasing. Originally ther was no disorder, decay, aging, suffering or death in the world that God created. Everything was very good until Adam sinned. It was then that the death originated. Genesis 3 describes some of the curses God placed on the earth when man sinned, such as difficulty bringing forth children, the growth of thorns and thistles, labor that produced sweat and, worst of all, death (unto dust shalt thou return). There are no exceptions to the second law of thermodynamics. Evolutionists try to point out that snowflakes forming, trees growing and embryos developing are exceptions to the second law. Snowflakes and other crystals form because of the sizes and shapes of atoms, ions and molecules that predetermine the shapes of the crystals. For example, if you dropped some marbles on a Chinese checkerboard, the marbles would take the pattern of the indentations on the board. This "disorder to order" is really not that at all, but is rather that the marbles are falling into a pre-designed order. Likewise, the order of a growing tree or a developing embryo has been pre-encoded into the cells of these systems.
