Personal Information about Michael C. Shivers

...or Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Michael but Were Afraid to Ask

No I don't think many people really give a rat's ass about my personal life. I just thought it would be great for those who know me and love me if I could devote some time to talking about them and myself. If you are one of those who would rather eat a bug than hear me talk about myself, get back to my main page here.

First things first. I have devoted a page to the love of my life. (No, not Spider-Man, although I'm working on a page for him, too.) Please, do yourself a favor and click here to learn about my sweetheart, Victoria.

Besides squeezing in as much with Victoria as I possibly can, I've got quite a lot going on. This semester at TAMU I am taking twelve hours of classes (9 of which are Marketing related and 3 of which are part of a Biomedical Genetics class). I am also Interning at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, working 15 - 30 hours a week at Albertsons, and taking the Princeton Review prep class for my imminent MCAT test.

Well, since I'm taking the MCAT you've probably figured out that my main objective in life at this point is to get into medical school and become a doctor. My field of choice is anesthesiology, inspired as I am by my Uncle Dan Pearson (but don't tell him, he'll get a big head.)

I have many, many interests and hobbies, most of which are considereed "dorky" by the general public. They include a love for comics (one of the most underated mediums of all time, in my honest opinion), and just about anything sci-fi or fantasy related. I am a huge fan of Star Trek in all its various incarnations. I am currently muddling through Robert Jordon's Wheel of Time series of Fantasy novels, and loving every minute of it. I'm thinking about eventually devoting a web page to dicussing and disecting the Jordon novels, but right now I just don't have the time. I am in the middle of the second novel, The Great Hunt, and all I have to say about these books is that anybody who has read and enjoyed this genre (including Tolkein, of course), would LOVE these books.

That's all I have to say about myself for now. Go back to the top of the page and visit my Spider-Man home page. And if you haven't visited the home page I devoted to Victoria, do it. She's the best thing since sliced bread.
