Actually, my name is George. Gesyn is just a handy computer alias. It comes from the word Geosynchronous (as in geosynchronous orbit)--just a bit of word play on my name.


I am 37 years old, married, and live in Salt Lake City, Utah. My interests include science fiction, computers, history, and the outdoors. To support these habits, and those of my wife, Jill, I work as a computer technician for Packard Bell.

Utah has lots of sports to participate in & watch. We are big college sports fans, and support our professionals as well. Sailing on the Great Salt Lake, hiking the wasatch mountains in the summer, and skiing them in winter are favorite passtimes here. I love to hike, and only wish I could do it more often.

The 2002 Winter Olympics will be held in Salt Lake City.
The Utah Jazz Finished 2nd in the NBA in the 96-97 season. Our John Stockton hold the league record for assists.
