The Order of Light
The Order of Light was founded then. Although not necessarily under the name it holds this day. For years... centuries, most of the Orders have been non-existant. Dying out for all but one. The Order of Light had dissolved and been all but forgotten. Only the spirits and the wind remembered the lost orders, and a hand full of others from the one remaining order that had been all but depleted. The Order of Light, the order of spirit and knowledge, had been all but forgotten.
With the coming of the Angel Warriors back to this realm, so has much of the knowledge of the five old orders. According to Genesis (which version and theology I am not sure of) The five Orders were as such: Corvus Order, Phoenix Order, Gaiea Order, Poseidon Order, Essence Order... they were known as The Conclave of Weavers. Since light brings life, I thought it fitting the the Essence Order be named the Order of Light. A new beginning to an old lesson. The lesson of life and brotherhood and peace. Learning and the wisdom that comes along with it. That is the reason of this order, and the way it acts as guardian against chaos and evil.
In this day the Order of Light seeks to bring people together. As taught by all of the religions of light, save perhaps one, we are all brothers and sisters, all human with the feelings and emotions that accompany our humanity. Yet we fight amongst ourselves, shed blood over ideas and thoughts rather than learn the perspective of those ideas and thoughts. Holy wars have been fought in the name of almost every religion. Yet all the teachings of these religions say that it is not right to start war on your fellow man. The reason for this conflict is a lack of knowledge. Seeing someone as evil because they do not have the same wording or exact beliefs as you. Fighting over a disagreement... the kind of fighting that has no winner, simply degrees of losing.
The goal of the Order of Light is to bring together all the religions, all the thoughts and ideas that would be good for all, and to make them as equal. To have them expressed freely and without fear. To finally have an understanding between all the sects and ideas and philosophys. The work of many lifetimes, but perhaps, as this is soon to be known as the information age, it will not take lifetimes, as it might have taken simply years before. People have wished for world peace. The wishing is the first step, but it takes good people with a will to do something to make that wish come true.
To join the Order of Light is not hard in the least, but a follower must be able to express free will and opinion and have a path and theology that they follow. Even though one may be an atheist, one still follows a set of personal rules, their morals and values. In that way may anyone of good heart and mind seek entrance to the Order of Light. The leaders of the Order are all equal and are made up of all the religions of light. From Christian to Jewish to Buddhist to the true and good or balanced pagan followers. All are welcome, granted that they have faith in themselves and faith in their beliefs. The next requirement and also the last requirement, is that of vowing to seek knowledge. Knowledge in general. About life and love and why the sun rises in the east... any and all knowledge. This knowledge is to be collected and given freely.
Through knowledge is the key to power. Through compassion is the key to tempering and using that power. Through the power of knowledge and the tempering of compassion, is the key to peace.
