MAGICK

So... You are interested in the world of magick. Very well, you shall find here links to other magick resources, and insight into what I have experienced, felt, and seen in this realm.
Let me tell you first, that magick is not a toy to be taken lightly, it is a real, and tangible thing to those who are able to open their eyes, and see it for what it is. Magick is spiritual and emotional, and it comes in many forms. I myself, am an apprentice... not very knowledgable and quite inexperienced. But I do know, that magick exists. In it's most powerful form, magick is said under a different name... LOVE. For if there is any kind of magick, love is at its pinacle.
I have been searching for a home... a religion so to say, that would go along with my own beliefs and feelings, and it was not long ago, that I believe I have found my path. I was searching that vastness of the 'web' and I stumbled across a Pagan link... being bored and not knowing much about Paganism, and Witches, I decided to follow it... and it was a twist of fate that would change my life.
You see, Witches and Witch Craft, have been persecuted for centuries, because of lack of knowledge, and superstition. As I said earlier, I am only an apprentice, and things I say here, may not be totally correct, but I will try my best.

The Craft

The religion of Wicca, and Druidism (Paganism in general) has existed for many many centuries longer than Christianity and Judaism. Wicca has had it's reputation destroyed by people, not seeking knowledge, and instead, lashing out blindly at what they did not understand. This is a fact, and it has happened throughout history, in many different ways. There was a very bloody period in history, where thousands of people were put to death, by burning, drowning, hanging and other various means... all in the name of God. This period of time, is called by some The Burning Times.
Only recently has the religion of Wicca begun to reimerge, into a society where freedom of religion and speech may be expressed. The rituals performed in small covens, of witches, do not include sacrifices, and other things that Hollywood has made up to sensationalize their movies and make money. It is true, that Witches today, do cast spells and they do wear black... many of those aspects are true. But Witches do not worship... OR EVEN believe in Satan, or an all evil diety. Witches today, come in all forms and walks of life most are professionals and everyday people you may meet, no different than you or I.
Witches, do not perform black magick. of course, this MAY not be the entire truth, there are always small sects in every religion, who delve into the arcane arts. But real, true witches today believe in helping the earth that is the mother of all of us, and what sustains us every day. Witches do not have a leader or high elder, that governs them. Most covens, consist of four or eight close friends, who practice rituals, together, two of whom, probably lead in the ceremony as Priest and Priestess.
