ACHERON

"Hinc via Tartarei quae fert Acherontis ad undas. turbidus hic caeno vastaque voragine gurges aestuat atque omnem Cocyto eructat harenam. portitor has horrendus aquas et flumina servat terribili squalore Charon..."

Vergil, Aeneid VI, 295 ff.

"From here is a path that leads to the waters of Acheron, a river of Tartarus, whose seething flood boils turbid with mud in vast eddies and pours all its sand into the stream of Cocytus. A ferryman guards these waters, Charon, horrifying in his terrible squalor..."

(Translation from Morford/Lenardon, Classical Mythology, 1971)

Chairete!

From the really turbid clouds of our imagination a shape starts getting more and more concrete. After we left SEPULCRUM MENTIS (But friends we still are, hello to them! We will keep up supporting you as much as we can!) Dirk and me started jamming together, drawing inspirations from mythology, literature and the more unknown regions of our minds. Now, finally, a new band starts to form. We will take our time, because "gut Ding will Weile haben" is often enough true. So keep watching this place from time to time, as more news will follow about our new passion:

ACHERON.

We do not know what time will bring. But we know that something still needs to be said...
