It is interesting to understand the relationship of your horoscope to those of other people. One of the finest indications of true compatibility between friends and between the sexes is for the Moon in one horoscope to be in the same sign as the Sun in another. The Moon person tends to be a foil to the Sun person, but generally they see eye to eye and their relationship is harmonious and full of understanding.
Venus in one horoscope in the same sign as the Sun in another is an excellent testimony of affection between friends or ideal love between the sexes. And if someone's Venus is in the same sign as your Moon or your Ascendant, you may also expect a bond of love between you. In these cases, often the Venus person is the one who loves or else is considered beautiful or pleasing in the eyes of the other.
Between the sexes, Mars in one horoscope in the same sign as Venus in another is the bond par excellence of physical passion. A man with Mars on a woman's Venus might easily seduce her, while a woman whose Mars is in the same sign as a man's Venus will play the siren with him. This is the kind of relationship that leads to affairs and flirtations rather than to marriage unless there are other more enduring bonds between the two horoscopes.
The Moon of one person in the same sign as Mars in another also results in sexual attraction but sometimes gives so much tension that the two will quarrel. The same is true when the Moon is three signs away or opposite Mars.
A woman who would like to have a generous, idulgent husband should look for a man whose Jupiter is in tha same sign as her Venus or Sun. Such a man will tend to impress her with his importance as well. In cases where Jupiter in a woman's horoscope is in the same sign as Venus, Sun or Ascendant in a man's, the benevolent role may be reversed. Jupiter and Moon relationships are somewhat similar. The Moon person will look upto and honor the Jupiter person who will in return treat him in the most magnanimous fashion.
While an admirer with Jupiter on a woman's Venus will shower her with presents, the man whose Saturn is in the same sign as her Sun or Venus will on the contrary be stingy with her and tend touse her for his own purposes. There is often an attraction between a person whose Sun is opposite another's Saturn. The Sun person tends to buoy up the Saturn person's spirits and to shine in his eyes, while the Saturn person always needs cheering up and may at times be something of a drag on the Sun person's optimism and confidence. The Sun person usually puts up with him, however, as he enjoys being able to show off to so willing an audience. This is often true in the case of married couples who unconsciously have paired off, the one to compensate for the other's qualities.
Someone with a Mercury in the same sign as your Sun tends to talk a blue streak when he is with you. This also makes for very effective teacher-student relationships. Venus in one horoscope in the same sign as Mercury in another leads to spontaneity, gaiety and aesthetic pursuits.
If you have Mars in the same sign as someone else's Mercury, you tend also to talk a lot and more often to argue and debate even the most commonplace issues. If these planets are badly aspected, you may come to physical blows. The Mars person usually deals harshly with the Mercury person and is critical of his ideas. Often the Mars person is actively sadistic in this relationship.
Someone whose Sun is in the same sign as your Neptune can be charmed, confused, or misled by you. Or one of you may find the relationship embarrassing in some way. Mars-Neptune relationships are weird and dangerous, and if either planet is badly aspected, can lead to scandal or crime. With Mercury and Neptune in the same sign, the Mercury person may clarify the Neptune person's hazy ideas. If well aspected, perversity in love may result.
Someone with Uranus in the same sign as your Sun will stimulate and amuse you or else may irritate you depending on the aspects. It is an exciting relationship, quite out of the ordinary. The unusual and unexpected almost always happens. Moon in one horoscope in the same sign as Uranus in another also describes a lively, scintillating relationship. Between a man and a woman, this often leads to romance. The Venus of one in the same sign as the Uranus of another spells a sudden attraction. even love at first sight. Mercury-Uranus relationships lead to mutual mental inspiration with the Uranus person displaying wit and originality.
Planets in the same sign as your Ascendant tend to react in a fashion similar to those in the same sign as your Sun. Then there are the relationships between people's Suns. It is generally true but in many cases an over simplification to say that there is a natural affinity between Aries, Leo and Sagittarius; between Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn; between Gemini, Libra and Aquarius; and between Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. It is likewise correct to venture that in many but not all cases, there is an antipathy between Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn; between Taurus, Leo, Sagittarius and Aquarius; and between Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. These generalizations must of course be modified with the other planets.
There are naturally many other points of agreement and disagreement between horoscopes. The relationships between two horoscopes as between two people can be very complex. These are, however, among the simplest and most obvious ones to recognize.
