About Me

My life in 50 words or less:

Hi! I am an 24 year old graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. I live here in the St. Louis metro area with my brother and cat (only one now, Samantha died in May :( ). I used to be an archaeologist, but now I'm unemployed, yay. I like the Beatles (no page yet but you can check out my friend Scott's site since he has a bunch of stuff on them), the Doors, Led Zeppelin, Green Day, etc., etc. Hopefully I will add some stuff about some of the newer bands that I'm into and some concerts that I've gone to in the past couple of years (Ozzfest, Pearl Jam, Page & Plant, The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers/Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Stone Temple Pilots, etc.) So far, this page is devoted to music, with a few small exceptions. I'm going to try to add some other cool stuff, but I have limited resources (like the amount of space alloted by geocities for one), but hopefully I can put everything I want up. I'll try to keep a list on this page of what I've added recently but if I forget, oh well.

UPDATES:
4/05/02 -- Layne Staley 1967-2002. Another great musician lost :(
5/27/02 -- Updated Concert Pages, added pages for Pop Disaster Tour and Weezer. Also added movie review of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
7/25/02 -- Updated Concert Pages - added pages for Korn, Jerry Cantrell, and Pointfest...more to come, this takes longer than i thought.
7/26/02 -- Updated Weezer and Green Day Tour Pages (actually cleared Green Day's since they're done touring for the moment.) Also updated the Weezer discography.
1/13/03 -- Added the nifty little personality thing at the bottom of this page. It's really great to learn that you're prone to suffering from anxiety and schizophrenia, isn't it?
1/29/03 -- Added picture of my cats. Speaking of which, I'm going to see Kittie tonight, so there will be an update about that soon.
8/21/03 -- Wesley Willis 1963-2003 =(
12/21/03 -- Click here for free movie tickets
5/8/05 -- Samantha, my beautiful barn cat (she looked siamese though) that I'd had since I was 8, passed away. She was almost 16 years old. I'm still very, very sad =(
8/24/05 -- Updated the concert section as best I could...I need to keep better track of that stuff. Also updated the tour sections of both the Green Day and Weezer pages.

NEW AND COMING SOON:
I'm planning on devoting a group of pages just to some of the concerts I've been to. That should clear this page up a little bit, and help me organize myself in an on-going efort to create an album with all of my tickets/pictures/autographs. I hope to put in set lists, pictures from the bands' official sites, reviews from other websites, scans of my own tickets/pictures/autographs, and my own opinion/review of the concert. Too bad I didn't start this 4 years ago, when I could actually remember stuff about every concert I've been to. Oh well, it should be interesting.

Devising a plan to clear out the clutter of this page by adding the concert photos to the concert journal pages and by moving some of the other stuff....well, somewhere. It's not as if anybody actually looks at any of my pages anyway. I guess it's for my own benefit. Oh well.

Planning on adding a section about my senior project...mainly for my own benefit, but when I'm finished, I will have the bestest page about prehistoric Illinois Late Woodland/Emergent Mississippian pit features and their contents. Go me! (as if anybody cares)

Yet another shot of the Offspring

There were alot of other bands there, and I took a whole roll of film, but most of them didn't turn out very well. Oh well.

These two wild and crazy guys are my brother, David, on the left and my buddy, Scott, on the right. I can't help but laugh everytime I look at that picture :)

NEW SHIT HERE

Here are a couple of nice pictures from the Foo Fighters/Red Hot Chili Peppers Concert I went to on July 1st in Moline. The first one is Dave Grohl walking right by me and my friends (no, my friends are not those people that you see in the background, I don't know those people). We touched his arm as he walked by. The second one is the Chili Peppers playing.

I Made This!

In response to the Money-Grubbers of Metallica's constant barage of attacks against Napster, I found this picture and...modified it accordingly. I mean seriously, it's not like they're starving or anything. Shit, they charge enough for concert tickets and they have sold millions of albums. Well, I for one am boycotting Metallica and I hope they do starve cause they won't be getting anything from me. If you support napster, be sure to visit their homepage to find out what bands support Napster (Like the Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, and the Offspring) and be sure to go out and buy lots of stuff by the artists on the list. Whatever you do, don't buy any Metallica shit.

Have you heard about the new Smashing Pumpkins album? It is called Machina II: Friends and Enemies of Modern Music. Wondering why you haven't heard about it before? Well that's because there were only 25 vinyl copies made. But, lucky for us, it was made with the sole purpose of bootlegging, kind of as a final "fuck you" to the record company. The Pumpkins are encouraging fans to trade the songs and promote it as much as possible. You can download the files yourself by going to Napster or the multitude of sites purely devoted to this topic, such as this one. What's that? You can't download music because you have a slow connection/computer or you don't have a cd burner? That's too bad, but you're in luck my friend. If you would like a copy of this revolutionary new album, just email me and I will give you all the info. All it will cost you is the price 2 cdr's and the cost of shipping. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Also, if you decide to do the downloading yourself, please don't sell copies of it for anymore than the cost of shipping and the cd's as the band is making no money off of this and I'm sure that they would appreciate that you do the same.

I hate country music and I am a proud member of the Anti-Country Coalition.

You WILL join the Anti-Country Coalition.

I'm a type 5 personality, which means I'm prone to schizophrenia, suicide, and using psychotropic drugs and narcotics...sweet! What type are you?
