Randall William Rhoads
1956-1982

Born December 6, 1956, to Delores and Rhoads  His tragic death was the result of a private plane crash in March 20, Leesburg, Florida where Rhoads and two other people - Andrew Aycock, 36, of Leesburg, the plane's pilot, and a hairdresser for the group, Rachel Youngblood, 58, of Los Angeles died in a private jet.  Between those years that seemed tragically short he accomplished a legacy that will be with us for the rest of our lives.

Randy Rhoads guitar playing began at the early age of six. He studied classical guitar at Burbank high-school.for classical guitar. Randy's first group was with Quiet Riot, the band put out three albums, he was also in another band called Violet Fox. The two LP's Quiet Riot 1 and Quiet Riot II are in circulation, however very rare.  Boots of Violet Fox's material do exist but in slim quantities, I am one of the lucky ones to have most of this material and do cherish it as one of my prized collections. Randy was  in two other bands called Mildred Pierce and The Katzenjammer Kids, not much is known about these two bands.

In 1980 Randy joined forces with Ozzy Osbourne creating perhaps what is the best productions of all time Blizzard Of Oz, the next was a cd titled Diary Of A Madman. Tribute came from a bootleg called "Bats Head Soup" recorded live in Cleveland, another one I had long before they released it...  They only released two albums together but the legacy will be long remembered. Randall William Rhoads is buried in the Mountain View Cemetary in San Bernadino,  CA. Randy, you will always live on.

"March 19, 1982 is a day that will live with me forever. Not only did I lose my best friend but  the greatest musician that I had ever known. Randy Rhoads came into my life in 1979...He was what I had dreamed about in a guitar player. He helped make all my dreams come true. Randy  was a very special person, he inspired, cheered and made everyone in contact with him feel   good...I know his playing will continue to inspire you all..." - Ozzy

SLICK BLACK CADILLAC

Just a big black set of wheels, Is what it takes to get me off
Gonna drive all night, Spin my wheels all right, Feels all right
I don’t need no drivers license, I’m too reckless to survive
It’s like a carburetor instigator, It feels all right

Slick black Cadillac
It’s got solid gold hubcaps
It makes me feel like a king, I only need one thing
And that’s a Slick black Cadillac

A fully equipped rock-n-roll machine, At speeds that take me high, high, high

At dead man’s curve , I only hear one word - drive, drive, drive
My machine is making headlines, Gives me love and everything
It’s like an institution of revolution it feels all right, Feels all right

 Slick black Cadillac
It’s got solid gold hubcaps, It makes me feel like a king
 I only need one thing
And that’s a Slick black Cadillac

I got the coppers on my tail, Just for me an A.P.B.
Their sirens spinnin’, It’s me who’s winnin’, There’re after me
Before they know just what happened, I disappeared to their surprise
I got a Cadillac monkey on my back, And I don’t mind

Slick black Cadillac
 It’s got solid gold hubcaps
It makes me feel like a king, I only need one thing
And that’s a slick black Cadillac

Goodbye To Romance

Yesterday has been and gone
Tomorrow will I find the sun
or will it rain

Everybody's having fun,Except me I'm the lonely one
I live in shame

I said goodbye to romance, yeah
Goodbye to friends, I tell you
Goodbye to all the past
I guess that we'll meet,
we'll meet in the end

I've been the king, I've been the clown
Now broken wings can't hold me down
I'm free again
The jester with the broken crown
It won't be me this time around
to love in vain

I said goodbye to romance, yeah
Goodbye to friends, I tell you
Goodbye to all the past
I guess that we'll meet,
We'll meet in the end

And I feel the time is right,Although I know that you just might say to me
What you gonna do
What you gonna do
But I have to check this chance
Goodbye to friends and to romance
And to all of you
And to all of you

Come'on now!
I said goodbye to romance, yeah
Goodbye to friends, I tell you
Goodbye to all the past
I guess that we'll meet,
we'll meet in the end

And the winter is looking fine
And I think the sun will shine again
And I feel I've cleaned my mind
All the past is left behind again

I said goodbye to romance [yeah]
Goodbye to friends, I tell you
Goodbye to all the past
I guess that we'll meet,
We'll meet in the end.
