USA celebrated its one year anniversary as of July 4th 1997. This association was established as an official UW-Madison’s campus organization in the summer of 1996.

Each year, as more and more undergraduate Chinese students entere UW-Madison, the foundation of our common language, culture, and interests binds us as a distinctive minority.

When obligation and pressure encompass us, we seem to forget the benefits of college life. Despite the problems we face everyday -- programs don’t work, TAs are too busy, professors can’t lecture, and computers break down just when you finished typing that final paper -- we still need to find time to relax and to enjoy college life.

CUSA serves as a diversion from all those burdens and frustrations of college. It is designed to provide a healthy and optimistic environment for Chinese students here at UW-Madison, and its goal is to stimulate the students’ extracurricular interests and activities.

CUSA also promotes academic achievements. We fulfill this task by organizing study groups and private tutoring. Lastly, CUSA aims to inform its members of current news, such as job listings, academic information, and a variation of tidings.

In its sole aspiration, CUSA wishes to bring students satisfaction, prosperity, and a triumphant future.
