College Credit Options

How can I earn college credits by taking AP Psychology?

CAPP Option - Students enrolled in both semesters of AP Psychology may also enroll for credit through Lakeland College. Students will enroll in PC 200 - Introduction to Psychology, a four credit course offered at Lakeland. Currently the cost is $300 and the credits transfer to state universities and colleges as well as most universities in the region. If you have any questions about transferability, please contact your college's registrar. (P.S. - Students do not take the AP test for this option.)

AP Option - AP Psychology follows the Advanced Placement curriculum and the AP test is offered to students in May. The cost for this is $80 and the vast majority of college campuses accept the test in lieu of taking their Introductory Psychology classes. But the student must have a minimum score of a 3, 4 or 5 (out of a possible 5) to obtain the college credit. (Some universities only accept scores of 4 or 5). If you have any questions regarding this option, please contact your guidance counselor.

LTC Option - Our class has an agreement with Lakeshore Technical College that students who receive a "B-" or better receive credit for their class Introduction to Human Behavior. If you have any questions, please contact your guidance counselor.
