The Voice of the Magisterium

Preliminary Remarks

This web page (under construction) has the unique aim of listing all kinds of papal and magisterial documents on one page. You needn't view only one pope's writings at a time, nor find Apostolic Exhortations on a different page than Encyclicals or Church Councils. Secondly, all documents are in HTML for proper viewing on the internet; plain text files (as viewed in most browsers) tend to hurt the eyes. Thirdly, the English titles of the documents are always present, and the Latin afterwards whenever possible. Fourthly, all titles will eventually be arranged chronologically and by subject. I believe that these four features are of paramount importance for internet research into the mind of the Magisterium.

I am looking for volunteers to help with this task; I am asked to develop a passage-by-passage treatment of apparent Biblical errors, simultaneously. If you would be willing and committed to help, please click here. Thanks.

Let us thank God, the Church (especially the popes who gave their lives to God's service), the translators, and the providers of these texts in their electronic form. Of these, St. Michael's Depot (whose encyclicals have been moved to www.geocities.com/papalencyclicals), and the Catholic Information Network (CIN) deserve special mention. May their efforts and yours in reading bear much fruit!

If you wish to view these texts offline, see EWTN's Library and at Archives of the Catholic University of America.

Finally, please remember, the internet is not perfect; from time to time one of the servers which hold the following documents may be down. If a problem persists for days, please let me know, and I will look into it. In the meantime, why not try the new and developing Official Vatican Website. God bless.
