The Rat and the Vulture

A long time ago in a large, hot desert, there was a very huge, very thirsty, vulture sitting on a gigantic rock. Next to him sat a small, scrawny, brown mouse who was also very thirsty. It had not rained for many weeks in the desert. Just then a man came walking by the rock. The vulture said to the man,"Why are you walking in the middle of the desert when it so very hot?" The man said,"There is a stream that runs from the top of a mountain east of here. I am going to get a drink." The mouse and the vulture who were both very thirsty, headed up to mountain. The vulture flew up to the top of the mountain but found the stream was guarded by a herd of elephants, who would not let him drink from the stream. The mouse, meanwhile couldn't get up the mountain because of a stone wall. The vulture, having heard that mice could scare away elephants, went and got the mouse and flew him over the stone wall. The mouse scared away the elephants and the mouse and the vulture both got a drink. So, the mouse and the vulture got a drink by working together.
